It’s been over two months since the grand final of the 59th Eurovision Song Contest took place in Copenhagen in May. Which artists have come up with new material since then? ESC United will give you an overview of new singles and albums released by this year’s Eurovision stars!
The indie rockers from Finland achieved a very decent 11th place with their song Something Better in Copenhagen this year. Last month they released a new single: Yellow House immediately entered the Finnish iTunes charts and even managed to stay on #1 for some time. Watch the lyric video of their new single here!
Unfortunately Aarzemnieki from Latvia didn’t quite make the cut in the first semi final this year. Now they are back with a single in Latvian language – written by the German lead singer Jöran! The song Cietos Vākos is about books and the often forgotten pleasure of reading. Listen to it here:
Greece: Freaky Fortune
For Eurovision 2014, the Greek duo Freaky Fortune collaborated with the rapper Riskykidd. Now they released a new single featuring the young DJ Nicolas Costa. They released a lyric video for In a World Without You – watch it here!
Belgium: Axel Hirsoux
The newest release comes from the Belgian entrant. In ESC 2014 Axel Hirsoux and his song Mother didn’t make it to the final – today he released his new single Bellissimo which can be purchased on iTunes. Here’s a short snippet of the song:
Norway: Josefin Winther
In Eurovision 2014, Carl Espen was in the spotlight with his song Silent Storm. Watch the official video of the song here!
Sebalter is back with a new single! With his song Hunter of Stars he managed to finish on a respectable 13th place in the final in May. A few days ago he released Saturday which you can hear below!
Netherlands: The Common Linnets
The Dutch entrants The Common Linnets have definitely had the biggest commercial success out of the Eurovision 2014 participants so far. After their 2nd place in Copenhagen, Calm After The Storm charted in many countries and is still a hit in places like Germany and Austria. Directly after the final in May, they also released an album wearing the same name as the band itself. Listen to it here!
The German trio Elaiza came 18th in the contest with their song Is it Right which has been a chart success in Poland. Now they released a video for their new single I Don’t Love You being performed in a live session. Have a listen:
San Marino: Valentina Monetta
