Ukraine, still on a high from their successful hosting of Eurovision 2017 and a strong-fought national selection for the home contest in Kyiv, will once again be looking to put in a strong performance on the international stage in Lisbon. Today, the national broadcaster UA:PBC in conjunction with commercial network STB have announced the participants in the 2018 edition of Vidbir!

18 acts will be hoping to represent Ukraine in the 2018 edition of the contest and potentially notch up a third Ukrainian victory in the competition. The acts that will be split across two semi-finals are;

  • Dilemma
  • Illaria
  • Ingret Kostenko
  • Julinoza
  • Kadnay
  • Kazka
  • Kozak System
  • Laud
  • Mélovin
  • Mountain Breeze
  • Pur:Pur
  • Serhiy Babkin
  • Tayanna
  • The Erised
  • The VIO
  • Vil’na
  • Yurcash

Tayanna, Mélovin, Illaria and Kadnay all took part in Vidbir 2017 hoping to represent their home nation, whereas Pur:Pur return to the selection from 2016. Uniquely, all eighteen of the songs that will participate in Vidbir 2018 were composed by the artists themselves, with STB revealing that over 1,000 songs were received in the application process.

The artists will be allocated to a semi-final on 19th January.
