This morning BBC announced it’s 6 contestants for the upcoming You Decide which will air this Friday on BBC 2.  The contestants were revealed during the popular morning breakfast show with Ken Bruce.

Contestant No 1 – Olivia Garcia – Freedom Hearts

She is only 16-years old and was an X-Factor participant during the last season of this competition. Olivia is from Wigan, Manchester and she started her singing career as Mary in the school nativity. Freedom hearts is written by Gabriel Alares, Sebastian Lestapier, Linnea Nelson & Laurell Barker.

 

 

 

Contestant No 2 – Holly Brewer – I wish I loved you more

Holly is 21 years old from Milton Keynes. She is a vocalist and also plays the Piano. I wish I loved you more is written by Kevin Fisher, Courtney Harrell, Laurell Barker, Mattias Franda, Johan Asgarde &  Oliver Lundstorm.

 

 

 

 

 

Contestant No 3 – Lucie Jones – Never give up on you

Lucie Jones is 25 years old from Cardiff.  She started to get fame in 2009 when she participated during the X-Factor edition of that year.  Apart from her singing career, Lucie is also an actress. Never give up on you was written by The Treatment, Emmelie de Forest( The Eurovision Song Contest winner of the 2013 edition ) & Lawrie Martin.

 

 

 

Contestant No 4 – Danyl Johnston – Light up the world

 

 Danyl Johnston is 35 years old from  Reading, United Kingdom. Alongside with Lucie Jones, he was a participant during the 2009 X-Factor edition. Light up the world is written by Dan McAlister, Rick Blaskey, Greg Walker, Chris Sutherland & Ameerah Roelants

 

 

 

 

 

 

Contestant No 5 – Salena Mastroianni – I don’t wanna fight

Salena is from London. She is a singer and also a song writter. She has a degree at Bournemouth Arts Institute in fashion. Salena entered X Factor in 2012 and has toured with Ed Sheeran. I don’t wanna fight is written by The Treatment, Nicole Blair & Marli Harwood.

 

 

 

 

 

Contestant No 6 – Nate Simpson – What are we made of? 

Nate Simpson debuted with a single “Steady” which also gained a national airplay on BBC 1. Nate also entered X-factor last year and he reached the judges houses only to be sent home by Nicole Scherzinger .What are we made of? was written by Jon Hallgren, Eric Lumiere & DWB.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Last year, the United Kingdom was represented by Jake and Joe with “You’re Not Alone” They managed to achieve the 24th place with 62 points. What do you think about this year’s contestants?
