The Black Mamba’s lead singer and principal songwriter Pedro Tatanka has teased that a collaboration with Flo Rida may be on the cards, following the American hit-maker’s appearance at this year’s contest for San Marino.

According to escportugal, Tatanka told TV7Dias magazine that the rapper was enamoured with the band’s performance of “Love is on My Side” at Eurovision 2021 to the point of contacting the band about working together in the near future; “He was surrendered to our talent and wants to work with us. We have already exchanged messages on Instagram in case I lost his number.”

The band also shared their feelings about the opportunities the contest gives them; “Doors have opened up for us abroad. It is important for us to reach this level of popularity and recognition.”

The Black Mamba achieved Portugal’s best result in the contest outside of their 2017 victory since 1998, finishing 12th in this year’s final with a classy, soulful performance of “Love is on My Side”, whereas Flo Rida’s supporting role in Senhit’s Adrenalina saw the pair earn a 22nd place finish for San Marino.

We are still trying to figure out how a collaboration between The Black Mamba and Flo Rida would sound, but we cannot wait to find out how soul rap sounds!
