As has been the case each week since the songs for Rotterdam started rolling in, the members of our forum have been fervently voting for their favourites in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, handing out points to their top ten songs to give an overall Eurovision-style ranking of the year’s songs.

After the close of the polls at midnight yesterday, marking the end of the ninth round of voting, we can now confirm how #YOU have voted!

What happened in round nine?

Switzerland‘s Gjon’s Tears is enjoying immense success in our Forum Ranking Game and has notched a second week at the top of the table. In fact, “Tout l’Univers” has set a new record number of points for the game, with a staggering 1,168 points given to the song in the latest week of voting!

In an unchanged top two, San Marino secured the runner-up spot for the second week in a row, belying their small size to prove a force to be reckoned with at Eurovision 2021. Nevertheless, it was just a single point margin that saw Senhit’s “Adrenalina” finish above Lithuania‘s The Roop, who climb to third place with “Discoteque”.

Finland maintain their hold on fourth place, with Blind Channel continuing to earn plaudits and support from rock and pop lovers alike on our forum. Malta have surged up the table in this week’s voting, earning 819 points for Destiny Chukunyere’s “Je Me Casse” and rounding out the top five of this round. France continue to slide, with the round six leaders slipping to 7th just three weeks later. Can Barbara Pravi’s fans boost “Voilà” up the rankings this week?

Elsewhere, the Netherlands saw a staggering rise of 14 places this week, as a surge of support for Jeangu Macrooy’s “Birth of a New Age” sees the host nation finish 24th. Latvia‘s Samanta Tīna saw the biggest fall, with “The Moon is Rising” dropping six places to 27th.

North Macedonia continue to prop up our ranking table, behind Georgia, Portugal, Austria and Poland. Can any of these countries rally their fans to push them up the rankings in round ten?
