Sam Ryder is being tipped to take part in Strictly Come Dancing, a widely beloved dancing show in the United Kingdom and the equivalent of the international “Dancing With The Stars” franchise.

The UK’s new Eurovision hero has had his odds slashed on taking part in this winter’s series after finishing second in this year’s contest, and thus earning the UK’s best result in the competition since 1998.

Bookmakers Coral have the “Space Man” singer at 6-1 to take part, and 8-1 to win the competition before even strutting his stuff on the dancefloor, with head of the bookmaker’s PR John Hill stating “Sam Ryder put the UK back on the map at Eurovision with an excellent performance which saw him finish second in the competition”.

“He is now being backed to be on Strictly this year where he is likely to be a big hit. Ryder could be one of the strong contenders for the Glitterball Trophy this year, as nothing seems beyond the Space Man singer.”

Performing in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing would be the latest in a growing list of achievements from the British singer, having earned #2 in the UK charts with his Eurovision entry, as well as being asked to perform at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebration concert in June.
