As part of the five-song rush Thursday, the host nation has released their song the Eurovision Song Contest 2021! The Dutch representative Jeangu Macrooy just released the music video for his 2021 Eurovision Song “Birth of a New Age.” He has to chance to represent the host nation for a second year in a row after having been chosen internally last year to sing the song “Grow.” The 2021 entry premiered today at 19:00 CET via AVROTROS YouTube live stream.

A few special fans got an all-access digital front row ticket to the premiere. After the song presentation, fans got to engage with Jeangu in a more private setting.

The song has been written Jeangu Macrooy in collaboration with Pieter Perquin, better known as Perquisite.

The Netherlands will automatically have a spot in the final on May 22th, singing in the 23rd spot of the night.
