Milita Daikeryte is withdrawing Vaiku Eurovizija, the Lithuanian National Final. This is due to some major vocal problems and therefore the artist is unable to continue her journey on the never-ending selection process in her country.
It is definitely a disappointing situation for the singer who made it all the way to the Final 9 but her dream to represent her country at Eurovision has come to an unexpected early end. But health comes first and we wish her a speedy recover and there is always 2016. Maybe a less drawn out selection process could prevent incident like this in the future?!?
Did you know that Milita was only was really close to represent Lithuania at the Junior version of the contest? In 2010, she finished 2nd with the song “Tarp tavęs ir manęs” but it wasn’t meant to be.
In the meantime, the remaining eight contestants will have to be patient as there are still five shows to go. But on February 21st, we’ll know the song and artist who will fly the Lithuanian flag in Vienna.
Do you watch the Lithuanian NF or do you just wait for the song since it is such a long process? Post your comment below and join the convo HERE
