It’s just 3 days till the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy! Connor speaks to Lauri from The Rasmus after the Opening Ceremony in Turin. They talked about about their landslide win at UMK, the concept behind their staging and the story behind the feathers in his hair. Check out our interview in the video below!
About The Rasmus
Their biggest hit, In the Shadows, recently passed the 100 million streaming mark on Spotify, despite being released many years before the streaming platform was even invented. Though that mega-hit remains the band’s calling card, they’ve since released several platinum albums, won numerous music industry awards, and played gigs all over the world.
Entering the Eurovision sphere is part of the band’s second coming, as they see it. They have taken on a new guitarist, Emppu, who launched her own career in the late ‘90s in Finnish girl band Tiktak. She joins Lauri (lead, singer-songwriter), Eero (bass) and Aki (guitar). Eurovision.tv
