Today is the day that all Latvian Eurovision fans have been waiting for. Today the acts who will participate in the Latvian national final, Supernova, will be announced.
The 20 acts who will take part in Supernova will be announced in a show beginning at 20:25 CET, these acts will be separated into two heats (7th and 14th of February) where 10 acts will perform and four will progress from each. The eight acts which progressed will compete in the Semi-Final on the 21st. The top four from the semi-final will progress to the final which will be held on the 28th of February where the winner will be decided.
In 2015 Latvia made the final for the first time since 2008, when Aminata performed “Love Injected” in Vienna and ended in 6th place. Aminata won Supernova in 2015, which was the first time the new selection process was used, after Dziesma produced less than successful acts.
