Italy will debut in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and it has today been announced through various Italian media, that Vincenzo Cantiello will fly the Italian flag in Malta.

Vincenzo became well known when he participated in ‘Ti Lascio Una Canzone’ The same show that last years winner of JESC, Gaia Cauchi, Last years representative for San Marino, Michele Perniola, and this years representative for the host nation Federica Falzon, have all participated in.

The 13 year old will be the first Italian representative to take to the Junior Eurovision stage, after a shock announcement from RAI, stating they will debut in this years contest

The song that will attempt to win the trophy on the 15th of November is yet to be announced, but is expected in the coming weeks.
