After all the songs competing in the 72nd edition of the Festival di Sanremo were revealed on nights 1 and 2, all songs were performed again tonight during a long and action-packed third show. The 25 artists participating in the festival are competing to win the coveted palm-tree statue and the honour of representing Italy as the host entry at Eurovision 2022.
After all 25 artists performed their songs, tonight’s ranking was determined by a combination of the demoscopic jury, made up of jurors representative of Italy’s demography, and the televote.
Following three nights of Sanremo, the general classification is as follows:

- Gianni Morandi – Apri tutte le porte
- Irama – Ovunque sarai
- Sangiovanni – Farfalle
- Emma – Ogni volta è così
- Massimo Ranieri – Lettera di là dal mare
- Fabrizio Moro – Sei tu
- La Rappresentante di Lista – Ciao Ciao
- Dargen D’Amico – Dove si balla
- Michele Bravi – Inverno dei fiori

- Highsnob e Hu – Abbi cura di te
- Giusy Ferreri – Miele
- Le Vibrazioni – Tantissimo
- Yuman – Ore e qui
- Ana Mena – Duecentomila ore
- Tananai – Sesso occasionale
Mahmood and Blanco are now leading the scoreboard, closely followed by Elisa. Gianni Morandi has now joined the podium, while La Rappresentante di Lista have dropped to place 9. With two nights left to go, the race to win Italy’s most prestigious music festival is heating up and only becoming more exciting.
Tonight, Amadeus was joined by the character Drusilla Foer, played by Gianluca Gori, who was a great co-host and many hilarious moments ensued. Other guests included legendary Italian singer Cesare Cremonini; writer Roberto Saviano, who held an important monologue commemorating victims of the mafia; and last year’s participant Gaia, who performed her Sanremo 2021 entry Cuore Amaro.
The longest night so far, tonight’s show was the subject of many memes, including one of the cameramen falling down during Cremonini’s performance.
