RAI has revealed their entrant for the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest!
On December 11, Chanel Dilecta will compete for Italy with the song “BLA BLA BLA”, which will be released next week.
13-year-old Chanel is a triple threat – a singer, dancer, and pianist – who has been studying the arts since the age of 4. She is also no stranger to music competitions, having participated in three Italian music contests in 2021. While Chanel has shared covers of popular songs on social media, “BLA BLA BLA” will be her first original song.
Italy at Junior Eurovision
Italy debuted at JESC to great success in 2014, when their first ever entrant Vincenzo Cantiello won the competition with the song “Tu primo grande amore”. They have participated every year since, with the exception of 2020. In 2021, Elisabetta Lizza placed 10th with the song “Specchio (Mirror on the Wall)” at the competition in Paris.
