
Throughout these four days, we were introduced to five acts that will compete at The Late Late Eurosong Special on 7th of February at 9:35pm GMT where they will face a combination of National Jury, International Jury, and public vote for a chance to represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest taking place at Basel, Switzerland.
Joining them, as the sixth and final act, for this season is, a queer Irish artist, NIYL.
Singing Growth, the Limerick-born artist will compete alongside the five other acts making out list complete and looking like this:
- Adgy – Run into the Night
- Bobbi Arlo – Poweplay
- EMMY – Laika Party
- NIYL – Growth
- Reylta – Fire
- Samantha Mumba – My Way
NIYL is described as combining “emotionally charged vocals with an electronic sound to create powerful, cinematic, and original pieces.”
As a queer Irish artist, NIYL aims to “elevate queer culture within the Irish music industry through his music.”
His debut album, Parish Is Burning, is due for release this year.
With five songs currently available on all streaming platforms and The Late Late Show’s official YouTube channel. The song Growth is going to be available as well after it’s premiere on RTร’s The Ray D’Arcy Show.

The Eurovision Song Contest Semi-Finals will take place on Tuesday, the 13th of May and Thursday, 15th of May with the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final taking place on Saturday, the 17th of May.
