At least, that’s according to Jedward themselves. While the two hyperactive twins won’t represent Ireland this year, they’re hoping to fly the Australian flag instead.

As you are probably aware by now, Australia is going to compete this year in Vienna for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.  And the twins from Ireland are allegedly eager to return to the contest. “John and Edward would love to represent Australia in Eurovision,” a source revealed. “They would be very proud to fly the flag for a country where so many young Irish people have made their home.”

But it’s not just about John and Edward, Jedward fans around the world are going to be mobilised to let people know how popular Jedward would be representing Australia in Eurovision. They would get votes from juries across Europe,” the insider told the Sun newspaper.

Jedward represented Ireland twice in 2011 and 2012 but were not chosen as one of this year’s finalists in the Irish selection. While the odds of Jedward actually getting picked by the Australian broadcaster are slim to none, it’s clear that they would love to return to the contest.

Whether or not the Eurovision community would embrace that remains to be seen. What do you think, do you think the Australian broadcaster will go for it?

No need to worry, it won’t happen. The twin are just panicking cause their gimmick is wearing off and people are starting to lose interest.
