France has selected! Zoé Clauzure will represent France at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Nice, France. The announcement was made during a press conference today. She will be performing her Junior Eurovision Song “Cœur” on the Eurovision Stage. You can listen to the song in the video below:

Her JESC2023 entry was written by Noée Francheteau, Julien Comblat and Jérémy Chapron. The track is a fun pop song full of pep, which displays the full range of Zoe’s vocals. Cœur is about bullying, and acts as the sunny side of Ma Place, a song on the same subject Zoé released in 2020.:

‘Ma Place was a dark ballad full of restrained emotion. Cœur is its opposite: a positive track, full of hope and light. Music is a way of expressing myself outside language, and I’m quite talkative, but that’s not enough for me.’

About Zoé Clauzure

A semi-finalist on The Voice Kids in 2020, Zoé’s career has already been studded with successes, challenges and encounters with accomplished artists. She’s already sung with Amir (France’s Eurovision Song Contest 2016 participant) and French singer-songwriter Yseult. The teenage pianist from Montrouge is a fan of Zaho de Sagazan, Lady Gaga and Billie Eillish.

As an accomplished songwriter, Zoé writes down lyrics and chords on a notebook, composes with Logic Pro software, records his covers played on the piano to post on social networks, but being on stage is her passion!

France at Junior Eurovision

After returning tot the contest in 2018, France decided to become a real powerhouse at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. They actually already debuted in 2014 with Thomas Pontier in Lillehammer. He ended up finishing in 6th place with his song “Si On Voulait Bien.”

After their big break, France always end up in the top 5 with their entries, with even winning the contest twice in three years! Lissandro from France was crowned the winner at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Yerevan, Armenia with his song Oh Maman! He received a grand total of 203 points from the Jury and the Televote.
