Will France take a new approach next year?
Will l’Hexagone take a new approach next year?

It appears that the poor result for the French in Eurovision 2014 may be kick-starting a revolution in the country! France appears to be a confirmed participating in 2015 and judging from a press release uploaded by the French national broadcaster, France Télévisions, next year’s contest looks set to be moved to France 2.

The document suggests that the channel is about to take back the reins for France’s participation in Eurovision, having previously been in charge of the delegation during the 90s. It is not yet known how France will select their entry in 2015 but this change in management may suggest that France are ready to make a change in their approach to the contest!

Audience figures from Mediametrie show that France 2 has the second highest audience share in France behind TF1 – and a higher share than current channel France 3 which means the Eurovision Song Contest will reach a larger audience next year in the Western European country.
