5. :at: 2014 (great staging and vocals, genuine message coming across despite the song itself being a little artificial)

4. :gr: 2005 (mostly here for personal bias and nostalgia but it is probably the best representation of a bop sung by a female, perfect choreo, attitude, camera angles and many entries afterwards copied parts of the staging)

3. :rs: 2007 (great song and vocal performance, very anthemic, in national language and a very deserved win for Serbia that was constantly elevating the quality of the contest around that period)

2. :fi: 2006 (my big favorite from my childhood years, it was a surprise win that broke the mold about what could suceed in eurovision, the staging and the outfit are stil iconic)

1. :it: 2021 (a proper rock winner and a long-awaited win for Italy, made by a self-sustained band with loads of charisma and sung in national language)

Honorable mention: :pt: 2017 was a worthy winner but eventually I never feel the need to listen to it again and Salvador has been unnecessarily nasty about the contest despite the praise and the boost he received from it.

#1 :se: 2012
#2 :ua: 2016
#3 :nl: 2019
#4 :de: 2010
#5 :gr: 2005

I´d probably rank them that way. :ua: 2016 was "just" my
2 that year but the entry is still stunningly beautiful, eerie and mesmerising and I love every second of it.

1 - :se: 2012: Maybe not the best song to ever win, but for sure the best package. It was a runaway winner since day one and I really liked it from day 1, so it really is a good winner.
2 - :ua: 2016: I don't care what haters will say, I actually liked it a lot, because without even knowing the meaning of the song I immediately connected with it and Jamala's performance, the song and the staging fit perfectly. So, a good winner.
3 - :rs: 2007: I'm a sucker for strong vocal performances, and this one is certainly a powerful performance. And I really love the background vocals too, so dramatic and intense. Really good.
4 - :fi: 2006: rock n' trolls never dies. I'm not so much into gimmicks...unless they work. And here the gimmicks work perfectly because of the song and the genre itself. The overall performance is good and uplifting.
5 - 2009: it was not my winner, but I like it. It wasn't innovative: Egemann sang with a violin in 1990, the base is similar to a lot of songs of that genre...but I find it just a pleasant song to hear, the choreo was good and the overall performance screams "we don't give a f**k to win, we just enjoy our moment" that I always loved in contestants.

Just missing out, but overall good winners, are: :it: 2021, :pt: 2017 and :de: 2010. The rest I'm indifferent (all winners from 2001 and 2005, :az: 2011, :dk: 2013, :at: 2014, :se: 2015), or I loathe them (:lv: 2002, :ru: 2008, :il: 2018, :nl: 2019)

This was quite hard as these last 2 decades had pretty strong winners, if you ask me.

1. :pt:2017-AMAZING!
2.:rs:2007- great song with great vocals
3.:at:2014- a lot of people forget that this is a great song and that the vocals are flawless
4.:ua:2016- this was not my winner(Australia), but it was a very strong year
5.:fi:2006- it really isn't my type of song, but i can appreciate it

Pretty good century so far, at least.

I especially like how "LIKE THE SONG BUT THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS RUINED BECAUSE THE SINGER IS AN ARROGANT ASSHOLE" is a category o f it's own right. Well done.

Assuming this is excluding 2000 (arguably in the 2000s but not the 21st century or 3rd millennium):

My winners: :se: 2012 :at: 2014
My 2nds: :ua: 2016
My 3rds: :se: 2015
Currently also in my 4ths-10ths: :az: 2011 :ee: 2001 :fi: 2006 :rs: 2007

You might have guessed I am pretty much a 20th century fan, or ''Showa era'' lol but I do change my winners from time to time.
