Yeah but isn't that why we bring juries back ? To have songs without too much quality and being about the performances like France 2010 and Poland 2014 loosing votes in favors of songs like Spain 2012 and 2014 or Hungary 2014.

What both France and Poland should get from this is that they can both pass easily the 150 points with televoting and should focus on the songs that will do it with good writing and music.

Anyway i m betting that France is closer to withdrawal than ever. This time, the media and social networks reactions are hopeless and France 3 is the only one responsible

The song was quality, it was fresh, modern and folky. The juries should widen their horizons. France 2010 was a contemporary fun party song. You know that quality doesn't equal dated wailing ballads right? It just showcases how off the juries are from the actual world.

But in the case of Poland, some broadcasters voted politically, it had zero to do with the judgement of the song. BBC and RTÉ juries were just manipulating of the votes.

If I should guess, I think Russia and maybe Portugal, Poland and France will withdraw next year.

I hope not. It may sound too pompous, but I'll quote our national anthem: Poland has not yet perished, as long as we live - I hope this will be TVP's attitude. ;)

To be honest, I think TVP may have mistreated ESC in the past, but the way Poland was treated this year and the fact that some broadcasters gets away with blatant political sabotage, I'd say if TVP had any pride, they'd withdraw. EBU should punish the broadcasters which added juries to sabotage, give TVP an official apology, and change the voting rules to atleast return to the previous 50/50 system.

If Sweden would have sent that song, it wouldn't be put last by the juries. There's no way it was the worst of all songs, the juries of those countries knew it would be popular with their voters (partly due to help of Polish diaspora) and there's a current political landscape in both those countries where Poles are being targeted.

I think with putting the song blatantly last in both the final and semi, the juries of atleast some countries showed their true political motives.

But only in these countries. In general it was low in the most juries. Being 14th as a come back country with a song like tjis is mlre than possitive

I added the list of sabotage in the Polish thread, yes it was low in some countries, but in the UK/Ireland/Iceland/Austria/Lithuania/NL/Sweden/Norway it was sabotage.

See I agree with what you said and I believe it too, but the result was great and they shouldn't withdraw imho

But why, just to make them happy they managed to throw us out of the contest?

I don't get the rumors about Poland withdrawing ... I mean they just reached the final for the first time and they did great. Yes they were downvoted by juries but this is not a good reason.
Russia seems likely ... and with that Belarus & maybe Azerbaijan.

Poland's record is terrible tbh, they came 14th in the final (their third best result ever). Which is nothing to withdraw over, People may not have liked what happened but at least they made the final and got one of their best scores to date.

3rd best result ever is fantastic but I'm sure if you were PURSOSLY sabotaged you wouldn't be so easy to forgive or let it go either xshrug You wouldn't be so happy if it was your country that was the victim of the agenda

That's like saying "I was just got mugged but they didn't get my wedding ring so I won't go to the police" That's just silly of course your going to go to the police because its the right thing to do as is complaining about this! It happened this year and if no one says anything they get away with it and it will happen again and again xfacepalm

Poland were lucky the televoters liked them enough to place them 5th because if they didn't Poland would be much lower then 14th and then they may not have had that 3rd best result ever. And having a terrible ESC record doesn't mean doing this to them (or any other country) is okay.

This! They have NOTHING to be happy about, in fact they have all the rights to be furious and if EBU sticks with this voting formula, then it would be like accepting it.

Btw they ended up 5th in televoting not 7th right?

 your right 5th I don't know where 7th came from

And it wasn't just Poland that suffered because of the new system. The same exact thing happened to other countries too, although on a smaller scale. And since Poland was clearly the biggest loser and victim they get to be the poster child of our cause

Same with the UK, it would probably take several last places and 0 points in a row to get us to withdraw. Despite our record, it does very well.

Regardless of last places or 0 points the uk still wouldn't leave. It pulls in too many viewers

Stop it with Poland. This has nothing to do with the country.

That song had very little to offer but a sexy performance. We bring back juries to sink songs like Poland 2014, France 2011, Ukraine 2007 and so on.
