First medal for Croatia - Ivica Kostelić BRONZE medal in super G! GREAT! Yeeeeeeaaaaaahhhh! :) Splendid as always!
He declared after the race that he didn't expect the medal in super G and he was really surprised hehe;)
The track was so dangerous and conditions for riding were more than hard! Our commentator said it few times. Many good skiers, who were proclaimed as favourites, were not managed to finish the race or were disqualified (Svindal, Ligety, Walchhofer).....
Congratulations to Innerhofer and Reichelt, of course!:D

Congrats to all medal winners of today.
Unfortunately Maria Riesch had temperature today and wasn´t strong enough to show what she can. For that, the 11th position is also great.
And once again an Austrian victory. As I said: The Austrian games this year :D

Haha so you will wait "your term" in biathlone, as it seems your athletes are much stronger there than in alpine disciplines:)

Let´s see if they are stronger then... :D
But I have much hope for it.

I hope for good results in Alpine disciplines too, of course. I can´t wait for the downhill races of men today? Which country will be on TOP? Austria, Switzerland or Norway??
I heard, Ivica will not start today, is it correct?

Good luck for all..... xcheer

Yes, it is true, Ivica didn't start today, because his coach (and father;)) Ante Kostelić, decided that it is better now for Ivica to take some rest and to be focused on further races in World cup and to win a Big chrystal globe, because the chances are really big. So Ivica will start in giant slalom and slalom next week.:D

Congratulations to all medal winners today!:)

Results:

DOWNHILL (M)

1. Eric Guay (CAN) 1:58.41
2. Didier Cuche (SUI) + 0.32
3. Christof Innerhofer (ITA) 0.76
4. Römed Baumann (AUT) 1.10
5. Aksel Lund Svindal (NOR) 1.42

Don´t be angry about me   But I was so enthousiastic about the bronze medal xcheer - I didn´t except this, because of the flu of Maria. But it was such a great race.

In German TV the reporter said, that Natko is the big favorite for tomorrow. So let´s see. My fingers are crossed for him.
