What will the hosting be like? Interval acts, etc...

One reason i'm so happy about Switzerland winning is because German-speaking countries have had two of the best recent hostings, in my opinion, and to me Switzerland hosting suggests class, quality and focus on actual music with varied and interesting interval acts, no ESC medleys with unnecessarily invited previous winners.

So what could we expect a Swiss hosting to be like? While Switzerland is not as overly known for classical music as Austria and Germany, there's still a chance it might make some appearance, to counter the lack of it from recent editions, as well as some really avant-garde act like Stimmhorn:

Switzerland also has a fair amount of cult/camp acts of international significance. While Edelweiss seems to have disbanded, we still have Yello:

Maybe Nemo will perform "The Code" or a new song with actual live orchestra on stage, as they did in a promotional video... speaking of which, could Switzerland be the country to finally reinstate actual live instruments in the contest? The current rules, since the orchestra was abolished, say that the host country may choose to have one, but so far no host country has chosen to do it.... could they finally be the one?

Other obvious names would be Luca Hänni and Gjon's Tears, being their most successful recent entrants. What do you think?

I'm pretty much sick of the throwback clips from 2024, but next year they have to have some sort of tribute to the other Swiss winners Lys Assia (first ESC winner) and Celine Dion (most famous ESC alum).

I’m gonna need a nod to Céline Dion in there somewhere whether that be a tribute in the interval or a flashback to 1988

If I see one, and I mean ONE throwback compilation of some random subject I will immediately turn off my TV because it felt like I've seen every single contest in history in one single year for god's sake

tbh i liked the idea of throwbacks this year, but they weren't executed well just like most of the other stuff

I expect Christa Rigozzi has a good chance of getting a hosting spot.

Interval acts, I would like Gjon's Tears and Luca Hanni.

I would like Swiss culture to be showcased in the postcards, intervals and throughout the show. The postcards this year were terrible and the show gave us very little Swedish culture.

Some nods to French, German, Italian and Romansch language during the show would be nice

Non English language host entry. Something in Italian maybe as it's been a while.

Celine Dion could maybe deliver a video message. I don't see her performing as she has health problems.

Since we haven't had a "modern" Eurovision held in Switzerland before, I would like them to fully go the "tourist route".
Show us your country - invite the artists to shoot some footage whilst they explore different corners of your beautiful country.

Also, I'd like to see some aspects of Swiss culture - throwbacks and tributes to Lys Assia and Celine Dion are appreciated but get rid off all the Waterloo/Loreen/Logan/Verka-throwbacks.

Moreover, I always have to eye-roll whenever Sweden hosts the contest.
All the Grindr, dicks, "cum together", "grab your towels", "one girl in the room", homosexual jokes are so effing tiring.
Yes, Eurovision is cherished by a huge hardcore fanbase who happens to consist of mostly gay men but the contest is still watched by 160 to 180 million people - families included.
I don't mind a joke targeted at us now and then but hearing that "Eurovision is gay and Grindr references" every show is tiring.

Running order: The Dutch had a more balanced running order and it doesn't come as a surprise since Björkman didn't decide it (if I'm not mistaken).
I just hope that the Swiss are also brave and proud enough to decrease his influence in how he's manipulating the results.
Swiss producers should decide the running order (without being influenced by semi final results, etc).

I also hope we will see a bit more of "traditional" parts, at least through postcards and intervals. I know the EBU's aim is to have a big, pan-European (even global) show where, showcasing local culture, could be seen as too exclusive and too local, I don't know.
I also have a feeling Switzerland will do a great job hosting.
