What is your favourite Eurovision opening?

I'm watching 2011 for the first time and honestly I'm loving the 25 Lena's dancing on the stage . Gotta be the funniest thing I've seen on eurovision so far.

Indeed, 2011s opening was great. I also love the one from 2000. The moment when the whole audience starts cheering is just amazing.

i like the 2013 opening of semi final 1 in malmö. loreen and the childrens choir. the opening of the final same year was poor though.

I guess I would say 2011 Final opening as well, since that's the only opening I watched over again after the contest.

I guess my favourite final opening would be the 2009 one in Russia with Cirque du Soleil (minus the cheesy performance of Dima). The semi openings (when there was one) never amazed me tbh.

Other than that, I like the 2014 final opening with the finalists called one after the other while the flags and singers appear on stage: simple but efficient.

My favorite opening of all time is 2013 caterpillar on a journey from Baku to Sweden and turning into a fabulous butterfly there.

I will happily put my hand on my heart and say that I think that the 2013 opening performance of Euphoria is the best version of that song ever (and I love the original a hell of lot!). So 2013 opening for me!

I will boo 2010 Final, because the broadcaster gave Alexander Rybak only 1:30 min and didn't let him sing Europe's Skies, which was a perfect combination with the theme of contest.

I loved this year's.......about the only time they used those kinetic balls to their full potential by framing Conchita when she popped up on stage to sing at the beginning, and then the hosts badly miming to the "building bridges" theme tune

I almost watched every ESC's openings from 2003 to 2015, and the best opening was the 2015's one for sure.
The magic trick with kinetic balls was absolutely amazing, I was litteraly astonished how they were used and gave kinda strenght to Conchita's performance.
Really, I was stunned.

Every opening had some good parts... I really like the 2014 one (final, 1st, and 2nd semi final!) - everything was so modern and cool! But Austrias opening 2015 for the final was also beautiful! It made me really proud!

I think Vienna was the best since all three openings were great. Semi Final 1 was really very classy and the Final was great with the kinetic balls and Conchita flying, the participants walking through the audience on stage,.....
Very poor were the openings of Belgrade and Athens. I did not like Moscow (why a canadian circus opening the esc in russia???). The final in Malmö was poor as well and the openings of the semi finals in Dusseldorf actually not existing.
