Malmö 2024 was for me very genetic and had a overall vibe of Melodifestivalen on steorides. Very little sense of showing that it was indeed Sweden the contest was hosted in... Also can we just scrap the "5 secounds with hosts saying something between the acts" thing for next year? Maybe combine all these small sections and give us a interval act that shows us some of the culture or a unique thing about sweden instead.

Also, can we please for next year get a little bit less Finland and Estonia (joke entries) and more France and Italy (good pop music)?

...And no prerecorded vocals please?

EDIT: And normal postcards

I didn't like the feeling of listening to vocal performances that were enhanced by a supporting audio layer.

It seemed most artists had their best vocal performance in the semis or grand final. Which isn't quite credible as nervousness (and focus on staging, camera angles etc) normally weakens the voice.

It would be interesting to hear the backing tracks of the songs. How much manipulation was going on? We know from the NF's in Norway and Sweden that the producers are using almost any tool at their disposal to improve the live performances. They do it to give the audience "a good show", I guess, but in my opinion, if it's a song contest, then we as viewers should either be presented with a song that isn't manipulated with OR the premise of the manipulation should be described openly.

My guess is that many songs were sung less than 50 percent by the actual singer - the rest was a mixture of backing vocals and dubbed studio versions of the same song.

- All the social media drama during and after the contest (maybe it was inevitable this year due to all the emotion around Israel's participation but still)

- "Producer's choice" (I miss 100% random draw, not gonna lie)

- That they put the Petra Mede/Charlotte Perelli/Käärijää interval act in one of the semis rather in the Grand Final... I know plenty of causal viewer friends IRL who don't care for the semis at all and only tune in to the GF missing out on much.

Although i can understand it I dont see why the last winner has to perform the winning song again when hosting the next year by that time it has been heard alot enough better to come with a new beginning act for the artist like Carola did in 1992. Or that the artist makes a cover on some famous or non famous song. Hearing last years winning song in a new version is ofcourse possible but can feel abit contrived.
