Sometimes I know my fire burns low
But as long as you're with me I'll never get cold
'Til day and night, 'til darkness and light
I never worry when you're by my side

Oh, feelings change and seasons fade
But nothing will burn us out
Nothing can stop us now

Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)
Out of the embers
There's a fire burning for you (Yeah, there's a fire burning for you)
I feel the heat here
There's still a chance for us
Down herе in the ashes, yeah, thеre's something growing
Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light)

Light up the room
Light up the room

You and me forever, we're free
We're cool under pressure, and that's all we need
So take my hand, and forget the past
We're in this together, there's no looking back

Oh, feelings change and seasons fade
But nothing will burn us out
Nothing can stop us now

Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)
Out of the embers
There's a fire burning for you (Yeah, there's a fire burning for you)
I feel the heat here
There's still a chance for us
Down here in the ashes, yeah, there's something growing
Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light)

Light up the room

Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)
Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)

My Last Breath was a good entry. Chanceless but definitely better than UK's last entries. There's room for improvement!

I hope that his new song will be better then "My Last Breath" 'cause I didn't like it

UK don't usually send good songs except in 2017 and 2014 so I don't really have hope xD

Oh I misread you post and read instead that they usually send good songs except 2017 and 2014, I was like "wtf ?!". I agree. 2014 was amazing. 2017 wasn't as good.

I remember the first time hearing it I was like "another last place for them", the revamp was good but it can't change a song entirely even though I really loved it with time. It deserved to be a few placed higher, though, I think.

Steps for next year if James doesnt come back? Absolute bop here from them!

This technically could be our entry as the rules state the song cannot be released before 1st September.

Any news about when the BBC is officially confirming for next year? I would of expected them to have made a formal announcement by now as they usually announce participation in September.

Has the classic, ‘Why can’t Adele do our Eurovision, then we’d win’ line been mentioned in the mainstream media yet? I always have an eye-roll fit when I read that classic, idiotic question.
Now, it's "Why can't Dua Lipa / Mabel represent the UK at the contest", lmao.

There still has been no confirmation from the BBC on UK participation next year and the UK is one of only 3 countries left to confirm. I'm seriously wondering if they are even participating next year given the huge changes that are happening in the BBC with the new Director General among other things not specifically related to coronavirus.

I don't think BBC would withdraw. It would be shocking, despite the bland/laclustre entries of recent years.

I honestly wouldn’t care at this point. We’ve not brought anything good to the table since the late 90s (bar 2002, 2009, 2011, 2014 and 2017), so I wouldn’t even notice our absence.

They know ITV and probably also Channel 4 are chomping at the bit to have it. ITV already does some minor ESC coverage when it comes around. They'll never let it go as long as its a ratings success.

Thats unlikely to happen, he is like the only DJ at Radio 1 that even has the slightest bit of interest in the contest. And the BBC needs to keep its half arsed cross promotion turning over for as long as they are broadcasting it.
