Sometimes I know my fire burns low
But as long as you're with me I'll never get cold
'Til day and night, 'til darkness and light
I never worry when you're by my side

Oh, feelings change and seasons fade
But nothing will burn us out
Nothing can stop us now

Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)
Out of the embers
There's a fire burning for you (Yeah, there's a fire burning for you)
I feel the heat here
There's still a chance for us
Down herе in the ashes, yeah, thеre's something growing
Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light)

Light up the room
Light up the room

You and me forever, we're free
We're cool under pressure, and that's all we need
So take my hand, and forget the past
We're in this together, there's no looking back

Oh, feelings change and seasons fade
But nothing will burn us out
Nothing can stop us now

Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)
Out of the embers
There's a fire burning for you (Yeah, there's a fire burning for you)
I feel the heat here
There's still a chance for us
Down here in the ashes, yeah, there's something growing
Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light)

Light up the room

Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)
Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)

What's the deadline for countries to confirm their participation? I've tried to find it online but can't find it. Isn't it end of October?

I think the deadline is in early November. Knowing the UK they'll leave it till the eleventh hour to announce their participation. Either because they are trying to plan something with BMG or because they forgot.

But the fact that the BBC are taking this long is quite odd.

Could this mean that James Newman is back next year?

Honestly I think that if there is more of a reason for the delay outside of Eurovision being a low priority for them I imagine its down to either A) They are planning what to do in the event the contest doesn't go a head with a selection of alternate programming that they can have full creative control of (so if it is Eurovision related then there are still the bitchy comments), B) They are planning possible reveal show on TV, I don't think they are going to do what they did back in the day (Which is similar to what Sweden does today) but I feel that is the end point for the stuff with BMG, or C) They are negotiating with BMG to do the contest again and its not as simple as a "Yeah we'll do it again" or the BBC or BMG is asking more of the other party than was done the last time around.

Would rather they went with a label like Dirty Hit or another independent and really give one of their upcoming artists a chance to shine, but as with every year, it's a pipe dream...

The fact that one of the couples on Strictly danced to Think About Things is quite encouraging. It possibly shows that the BBC haven't forgotten about Eurovision and maybe they will announce something soon

UK participation confirmed. Same 41 countries as last year. Now the questions are: Will James return and will the same semi final allocations be kept?

Why are CERTAIN fan sites telling people that the reason they didn’t announce it was because Strictly started a bit later? :D

Doesn’t take long to write a quick message saying “hi loves we’re taking part x”

Well going off their Twitter coverage of Eurovision its probably because the tweet wasn't #CRINGE enough for them.

The last two posts made me chuckle.

I might tweet James Newman and ask if he know what in the name of Julia Samoylova is going on behinf the scenes - if anything.
