Interestingly, the point we got from Belgium came from televoting, rather than their jury. We were probably 7th in the Belgian televote.

It seems the Juries have let us down again! Not just with Belgium, but Ireland too.

I disagree - for two years in a row our act has put in a sub-standard performance in the dress rehearsal in which the juries vote. The acts have let themselves down - you can't blame the juries

UK vote in Semi Final 2. Numbers in brackets denote confirmed jury vote, followed by potential televote.

12 - Malta (12+6)
10 - Lithuania (2+12)
8 - Sweden (7+7)
7 - Estonia (10+4)
6 - Turkey (0+10)
5 - Bulgaria (0+8)
4 - Netherlands (3+5)
3 - Serbia (5+3)
2 - Ukraine (8+0)
1 - Bosnia (6+0)

There's quite a few numbers we can't be sure of here. We know that both Malta or Sweden got 6 or 7 points in televoting. Estonia got at least 1 point, and at most, 4. Bosnia got at most 1 point in televoting. I think all the others are guaranteed results though.

Uk vote in Final.
12 - Sweden (6+7)
10 - Ireland (0+12)
8 - Spain (12+0)
7 - Lithuania (0+10)
6 - Germany (5+5)
5 - Malta (8+2)
4 - Estonia (10+0)
3 - Russia (0+8)
2 - Azerbaijan (7+0)
1 - Turkey (0+6)

We can be pretty sure of most of these. Russia or Sweden could have swapped televoting scores, but this was probably more likely. The only results we don't know are who got 4, 3, and 1 point.

Humperdinck – Reports in today’s UK and Irish news reveal that veteran crooner, Engelbert Humperdinck, has teamed up with Sir Elton John for the first time to work on a duet. Humperdinck, now 76 years old, represented the UK at last year’s contest in Baku, and is releasing an album of duets early next year… 45 years after his first massive number one single, ‘Please Release Me‘. Engelbert, speaking to the Belfast Telegraph, said

The Hump tried to justify his failure at Eurovision and failed with his analysis.

- People only have 15 minutes to vote. About 125 million people watched the show and they could all vote too. How could you get a result in so little time? There is no computer in the world that can do it, he stated, continuing: The juries had already given their final votes during the two semi finals. The countries that ended last were the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany and France. That is because they didn't sing in the semi finals.

Sad to see him turn out such a poor loser.

Not surprising, I guess. He's hardly likely to say he lost because he had a bad song and everyone else was better. Ideally he'd say nothing at all, or at least be factually accurate.

What did happen to the importance of competing over winning? Humperdinck made a good performance with a heart-touching song. He can be proud of himself and stop being obsessed with the results.
