The ending was cut a little.
Love that it's more ethno than I thought it would be. The beats in the chorus remind me Hung Up, in the same time it's not Madonna at all.
If she's gonna sing during the folk part in the chorus, she's got my vote.

Roxolana is more of a 'new' singer, but she seems to have already built a solid foundation. I think she probably does have a chance to win, especially since the song is quite strong. Probably still a bit of an underdog though- I guess we'll have to see how Pash/Wellboy/Kalush goRoxolana is famous ? She has a chance to win ?

I can be wrong, but the ethno backing vocalists from the song also perform with KAZKA.

Too bad Eria apparently generates so much drama, as Mavka is one of the best songs I'd heard so far this NF season.
Khayat will not take part. Yesterday he said that he will stick to his word and will never take part in Eurovision again. He said he's got everything he wants right now and he doesn't want to lose it, and he didn't mean just Vidbir. I mean he never hid his ambitions, if he's not sure that it's the top 3-5 at Eurovision, he will not move his sexy ass.

Girlzzz is too good. If she somehow doesn't make it to the top 8 (and some random cringe act does instead...) it'll be a tragedy. She seriously has a massive potential for staging with the ethnic vocal bits if its done right. I'm not even the type of person who normally stans these types of bops that much, but this is just

The song by Roxolana is well-produced, imo. "Too generic"? Compared to "Shum" that might be the case but I fail to hear such songs on the radio or anywhere else.
I don´t adore the song but I think it still sounds very refreshing and provides us some ethno-elements in the background as well as some sort of twist with the Ukrainian verse followed by a short "rap" (which she somehow shouldn´t have included, imo).
There are parts I truly love (the arrangement, the ethno-vibes in the post-chorus) but the rap part isn´t my cup of tea and I just wish her voice was stronger/had more power.

that's the only ethnothing in girlzzz.
the rest of the song is standard pop - my hopes for real ethno are on alina pash + other me unknown acts from the 27list.

It is a recurring figure, though - part of the motif.
I somehow agree with you, though, that half of the song is "standard pop" but in my eyes, it´s not enough to be labelled as "too generic" - I wish countries such as Sweden or the UK would come up with something like that - just some figures, tiny parts in the motif to shift away from their safe/generic sound they´ve submitted to Eurovision over the years.
