Nobody can convince me that Shum wasn't their first choice! They were so obviously planning this throughout the winter. I don't think that many countries had THAT concrete staging plans in late March.

I'll shock you even more. Usually STB prepares the whole concept in just 2 weeks after Vidbir. The production starts immediately.
This year PBC announced competitions for the art directors & video directors and selected the best projects together with Go_A.
Our art director is Ukrainian guy who has worked for Cirque du Soleil and America's Got Talent. He created staging for Ukraine 2016, Ukraine 2018, Malta 2019, Azerbaijan 2019.
Imho, nothing is impossible after Ukraine 2018 Our most technically challenging staging ... they've done a "demo version" for Vidbir already, in just 1 week.

The first song completely in Ukrainian to enter the British (#59) & German (#66) official charts.
