I hope I can at least make it to the final; my exams are that Wednesday through Sunday.

Globen is small? Did you even watch Eurovision 2000? It looked great and quite big too.

Globen is too small, they should have come to an arrangement with tele2 over the football.

I´m very surprised that some people in here still don´t get what EBU said a few years ago that they wanted to make ESC a bit smaller so even those countries that have poor economy should be able to host if they win.

The biggest stage, the biggest wallet don´t mean great success by default (Yes, I´m looking at you :ru:)

ESC 2001 in Parken is a another perfect example of when the ESC became TOO big

Copenhagen 2014 is the best example of smallness.
Besides Baku 2012 and Copenhagen 2014 were more expensive than Moscow 2009.
Eurovision is the international contest, and it should be treated accordingly.
But SVT puts money in the Swedish Eurovision performances and Melodifestivalen, and not in the ESC. Brilliant.

good choice sweden!

the globe has a very warm atmosphere. so esc 2016 will have about the size of vienna. i prefer smaller venues, since most of the esc in big venues like copenhagen 2001, moscow, baku or düsseldorf did not have great shows in my opinion.

How can you say Copenhagen 2014 is the best exemple of smallness when they lost so much money??? The venue was millions more expensive than they thought from beginning. Actually one of the danish leaders behind ESC 2014 quit his job because of it. Many Danes would say it was a fiasco.

Once again you blame SVT when it is EBU that wants smaller venues.

What's wrong with put up effort and money on our performances and MF?? Actually this is why Sweden do do well right now. We are well-prepared to ESC unlike other countries. What do you want?? Every performer to stand still and sing boring songs?? It will be very boring in a final with 27 entries participating.

Get off your loser attitude already. It's 1 and half months since ESC.

It's bigger than all the most recent venues.

Bigger than Malmo by 500 persons, and we all know that Globe won't have a big stage like B&W. Also arena in Vienna had about 16000 people.

At least SVT can make a nice press center in TELE2 Arena.

How do we know the stage won't be big as in Copenhagen? We don't know anything about the stage yet.

Seriously El Ruso now you are only trying to find reasons to bash Sweden for.

Sweden won 2015 and will host 2016. It's time for you to grow up and accept it.

Well, if Björkman does not try once again to act as if the contest should be more focused on the songs like in 2013  (which is truly ironic considering the last winner), then we may expect a decent stage this time. I hope the same amount of efforts will be put in Eurovision than in Melodifestivalen.

Are the MF stages anything special anyway? Sure Friends Arena is huge, but the stages themselves are simple and to be honest most of the time very ugly. The 2013 ESC stage was better than any MF stage so far.

I'm so hyped. Love the arena, think it has that quirky wow factor in its own way. Will be really nice to visit Stockholm for a few days and enjoy the experience for the first time! 2013 was a great show, more of the same please!

I didn't say they were something special, but still they looked much modern and elaborate than what we've got in 2013 imho. To me, it "aged" in a bad way, it looked so early 2000's... had it been hosted in Montenegro, I would have been more clement  but it's Sweden we're talking about.

I think they've made the right decision. It looked good in 2000, so 100% it won't disappoint me. I just hope they do something better than in 2013... It was pretty week
