I personally am happy that's he's not back this year. If he does indeed find a song that is better than heroes and he gets his personal life in order I'd be happy to see him back. But revolution was boring and he was clearly using melodifestivalen and eurovision as an escape from his personal life which is why coming 2nd effected him so much.
I was delighted that KAJ won and not Mans. I thought Revolution was boring, both the song and the staging. Mans seemed to have an increased sense of desperation. It was lovely to see a fun, charming song in Swedish win and not some bland pop song in English.

Estonia might give this loads of points because it's been in their Spotify chart since Melodifestivalen. The Germany Songcheck on ESCKompakt love this song it’s their highest scorer so far beating Austria, Estonia, Netherlands etc. by a long way.

I'm roaming today in the world of metal covers for 2025 ESC songs and with Sweden being good song I was sure I will find also some rockers on guitars, so here they are:

Well he won in 2019 so I'm not sure what his problem is. He sounds a bit sour. And what other country would he even compete for?

I've read Mans comments and it does come across as unprofessional and incredibly ungracious. I am trying to give a little of benefit of the doubt in case he was misquoted. But if he did say that, he has fallen in my estimation. Can't imagine Loreen reacting like that. Humility goes a long way
A bit of an update to this, he just admitted to the press that his wife left him during the melfest final week which is a reason to why he was so moody.

Yes, why are people hating on him for being upset anyways?

We are all humans, eurovision is his favourite thing in the world. And he was obviously expecting to win so when he realised about Kaj, he got a bit upset

I think it was more that he implied the juries had made a mistake ranking kaj so high

I think Kaj is definetly the most likely to win, but Mans Zelmerlow would of had an even bigger chance of winning Eurovision than Kaj. So I agree with Mans.

A revvvvvvvvvooooooooollllllllluuuuuuutttttttiiiiiiiiiiiooooooooonnnnnnnnn oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh its been a lifetime coming but we can't keep running from this wooooooooorrrrrrrrrlllllllllldddddddddd its been a lifetime waiting for

To be honest I think revolution had a cap of 150 in the televote. Everything about heroes was better than revolution by a large margin and there are a few songs this year I believe have the potential to do better with the juries.

I'm not saying I think bara bada bastu will win, I have my (serious) doubts about that too, however a runner up implying that the international juries made a mistake is just not something someone should do in the music industry, the Swedish tabloids certainly had a field day with it though

Yep, I'd be alright with Bara Bada Bastu winning as I cannot get it out of my head. But that is what I said in melodifestivalen when I went "Urgh Sweden went with the worst gimmickest rubbish" "Oh my gosh Sweden won't win!!!"

I also cannot stop singing revolution :(

I have waited to comment on this Swedish entry until closer to ESC.

First of all it was of, course, shocking that Sweden selected this song when MF had several much better quality entries (not the least Klara Hammarstrom's 'On and On and On' banger with great stage performance which imo was the best of them all).

Perhaps it was a reaction to Sweden's long tradition of sending professional-sounding productions to ESC, perhaps Swedes lost their minds for a moment, or online campaigns to send something different, something fun and simple and "showy", won through. For whatever reason, this Swedish entry conquered in MF.

This song by KAJ sounds like something played in Norwegian alpine ski resorts at Easter at 2 AM when everyone is drunk and near senseless and just want simple party-atmosphere-music with no brains. It probably takes 10 minutes to create such a song, 12 minutes in a sauna, or rather 25 seconds using AI. Then again, it was never meant to be a masterpiece.

I cannot quite decide if this Swedish ESC-entry is pure sheit or charming fun. At the moment I think it is pure sheit AND charming fun. How I rate the song at ESC remains to be seen on the night, but currently it gets a couple points for 'exuberant charm' but not much else.

Hearing someone call on and on and on better quality is Uh, that had a ceiling of 15th in the final so not at all up to sweden's usual standards.

The song has been #1 in Sweden for 10 weeks. Arguing the song could have been written by AI while stanning “On and On and On” is a choice…

Rehearsal today:

Staging-wise, we can confirm the changes from Melfest that KAJ have already spoken about – the same greeny-brown suits, a firepit that’s more like the wooden heat rock box you get in a sauna, and a log store that is easier for the (now three) dancers to tilt into sauna mode.

However: a few additional things to note: the opening sausage is SIGNIFICANTLY LARGER than the one we saw in Melfest.

The LED backdrop provides an entire forest complete with deer, until the key change when the entire arena goes full neon laser party for an epic finish.

And finally, KAJ have found some fir trees! We’re too far away to tell if they’re real or fake, sorry. Will try to sneak into the prop store later – we did it last year to check if the Windows95man denim egg had pockets.

🔥 PYRO update! Flames in the fire pit, and flame jets in the middle eight just before the key change. Then smoke jets to accompany the laser party ending. Sweden have left nothing unsteamed.

Well well well I am a bit conflicted. I am usually a big fan of Swedish entries but at the same time I absolutely loathe meme-entries so I do not really know what to make of this one. Let's just say that I can see why people find it enjoyable.
