No need to apologize
'Cause there’s nothing to regret
Well, this is not what I wanted
Guess all the good things come to an end

So baby bye, bye
Wish you the best
But most of alI I wish that I could love you less
Well, maybe you're right
I'll find someone else
You say it isn't me, but when did that ever help?

Hold me closer
Although you'll leave before the sunrise
I'll be bleeding, but don't you mind, I'll be fine
Oh, it kills me
I found the right one at the wrong time
But until the sunrise
Hold tight, hold tight

Maybe it happened too fast
I guess that I understand
You say that you've never felt this way for anyone
And that's why it scares you to death

So baby bye, bye
Know it's for the best
Still I can't see how that would ease the pain in my chest

Hold me closer
Although you'll leave before the sunrise
I'll be bleeding, but don't you, mind I'll be fine
Oh, it kills me
I found the right one at the wrong time
But until the sunrise
Could you just hold me tight?
I know, I have to let go, but just give me the night

'Cause tomorrow will hurt
Hurt really bad
'Cause I’m about to lose the best I ever had

Hold me closer
Although you'll leave before the sunrise
I'll be bleeding, but don't you mind, I'll be fine
Oh, it kills me
I found the right one at the wrong time
But until the sunrise
Could you just hold me tight?
I know, I have to let go, but just give me the night (Hold me tight, hold me tight)

Can't you see that you found the right one at the wrong time?
It was just the wrong time
Hold tight, hold tight

Interesting that I didn´t mention any names in my post yet you feel somehow offended.

You mentioned me in the previous Post. And yes, we all know that you meant me.

It's a little bit early to complain about Sweden being "out of touch with reality" (i mean, they're scandi and have the associated blandi tastes, but that's their problem, not ours) especially since we haven't heard a single note yet, but sure you guys do your thing, i guess.
There has been a steady decline in quality and this year reached a new low so if course people will talk about having low expectations. If Melfest 2022 is amazing I will take everything back.

It's gonna be very interesting to see if Sweden is Eurovision enemy #1 this year after such a lukewarm score, especially from the juries
Would be very interesting. I hope so because people were just annoying. Maybe ending up middle of the road this year is a good thing for Sweden in the long run.

Tumblr, mostly.
Melfest 2021 being a new low? I can't blame you for ignoring that Melfest 2018 ever happened, but it did and we must all bear witness to its pungent awfulness. I like exactly three songs in that Melfest, and one of them was one of those "acursed" joke acts the Swedes wanted banned from Melfest because god imagine having a sense of humour. (tho tbf "livet på en pinne" was hooooooorrible. what better fave to have in that year, then? :p)

Anyway, this year's Melfest while far from good, at least had Dotter, Clara, the Evae, 90-talet and if you stretch it Tusse and Tess, which by my count is still a greater number than 3.

Wow that list is really depressing (as expected), as I've expressed earlier I didn't expect any change of mindset from SVT with Björkman gone, while he might have been instrumental in the Melodifestivalen as we know it, there is a bigger team behind that is still there and it's just business-as-usual.

So yet another year with almost no Swedish language entries, yet another year with all these names that no one cares about in Sweden outside of the MF-bubble, yet another year with these "in-house" songwriters/composers that have little to no career outside of "the bubble", yet another year with your pseudo latin and "rock" quotas and your average hopeless/ and-or joke entries in Swedish (God forbid actual good entries in Swedish with a chance of winning will ever be picked to take part).

And then they claim that they revamped it with a "new semi", when de facto it's just a small revamp to the "second chance" and not actually a new semi xshrug

So out of these names, if the entry is as good as "Kingdom Come", it should be Anna's year finally (although competing with all these tween idols is always going to be an uphill battle for female acts). Although Linda Bengtzing's past 2 entries were rather weak, I appreciate her for just doing "her" unapologetically, so I will still hold a soft spot for her although she needs a super turbo-schlager BANGER this time around (and nothing half-arsed like the past 2 attempts) to even stand a chance since that era is sorta in the past but with the right song there is a chance to at least reach the finals with the right amount of nostalgia. Shirley in English doesn't interest me a single bit (in Swedish it would have been a potential different topic). Lisa Miskovsky could potentially be good, I am also curious about Niello / Lisa Ajax (it could go either way). John Lundvik in Swedish could be interesting, but I expect something cheesy unfortunately. The rest I couldn't care less about, but of course I'll have to wait and hear the entries first but if the previous years are anything to go by, it will be yet another year with more quantity than quality and more of safe Pop specially made for MF (when Europe clearly wants something else and the Swedish music market for a decade or more looks very different than portrayed in MF).
You don't care for Tenori!?
In Italian language!?
In the year when Italy hosts!?

What about medina?
They do look to me like kind of popular outside of "the bubble"..

What about Robin Bengtsson? A former winner..

What about LIAMOO? Cazzi Opeia??

Anna Bergendahl really has a type since she returned doesn't she?

Two-word-titled songs using some English cliche or collocation ✅✅✅
Written by herself, G:son, Ljunggren, and Bernholm ✅✅✅
Full of more cliches and collocations without any meaning ✅✅❓

For a country with such good English skills, Sweden is really showing itself up with writing songs that have no meaning (Kingdom Come, Ashes to Ashes, Move, Heroes, Higher Power (presumably)).

1. Anna Bergendahl
2. Lillasyster
3. Malin Christin
4. Tenori
5. Medina
6. Angelino
7. Klara Hammarström
So Robin Bengtsson, Tone Sekelius, Anders Bagge and Klara Hammarström will go straight to the final.
And we can assume Malou Prytz, LIAMOO, Cazzi Opeia and Anna Bergendahl have some fast paced songs that are good openers. LIAMOO and Anna will also probably go directly to the final.

Theoz, Niello & Lisa Ajax, Lillasyster and Lancelot are probably make it to second chance at best. 2nd is a death slot.

Very likely second chance qualifiers: Omar Rudberg, Alvaro Estrella, Tenori, Linda Bengtzing, John Lundvik.

Let's see if I'm right. Based my guesses on previous running orders and results.

Lol

Singing in the language of the host nation seems super forced and artificial, I don't know any Swedish act singing in Italian or Italian language music played here so it's just random and not a representation of our music scene.

Medina were popular (and kinda disappeared), still past tense (MF doesn't attract current popular names).

Robin Bengtsson is a no one outside of MF, LIAMOO as well... Cazzi no idea who it is.

Transgender singer Tone Sekelius with song "My way" closing the 2nd MF semi smells very dangerous to me..
And Anderz Wrethov, as the composer, part of the 2019 and 2021 MF winning team..

Producers might be playing tricks in heat 4 here.Anna in slot 1 would say she has another crowd pleaser to open, but what if its so good they think she can go direct in front of Klara and Klara needs the pimp slot to stay close?
Anna has had great songs since her return, just lacking the killer punch, but it would be some story for her to win.I reckon the songs in between Anna and Klara are probably filler.

What do you think about 2nd semi running order:

6. John Lundvik – “Änglavakt”
7. Tone Sekelius – “My Way”
Hmmmm.. xthink
The song in Swedish will never win again.. xcry

Lol, the three acts I'm somewhat hopeful for, sandwiched together in one semi (and in less than desired slots)! :ROFLMAO:

I'm sort of pre contest stanning Anders Bagge after finding out that he was responsible for the song of my childhood, Gotta Tell You by Samantha Mumba. I love how he's been given a pimp slot as well. That's gotten me really curious with regards to what he'll have to offer.

I'm glad to see Faith Kakembo back as well. I quite enjoyed her previous effort.

I usually like the 3rd semi the most..
No difference this time, 4 really promising acts for me in this semi: Lisa Miskovsky, Lancelot, Faith Kakembo and Cazzi Opeia.. :(
