Talent Shows.
A hot, fresh, new way of choosing an entry. 
Although I have no issue with talent show singers taking part in a NF for eurovision, I do have an issue with them being used as a NF format. Unless done correctly, the song ends up being trash and the singer chosen based on popularity. Hopefully this news isn't connected to eurovision.

needs to get out of the comfort zone and choose something bold for once, not that I don't enjoy your past entries (actually I have many of them in my top10 ) but it's clearly not working and TVE needs to find another direction

That's exactly what I thought 13 years ago when people chose Ramón and not Davinia (Como quieres que te quiera)
I thought his song was a complete trash xsnooty but listening to it now, it's not that bad hahaha

hmmmm talking about choosing according to the popularity, remember "Rosa de España" and that masterpiece called "Europe's living a celebration" in 2002....
I fully supported her back then though
The good thing is: if the talent show is succesful, it will get the interest of the music market and then TVE will get decent songs for the NF. It's not casual that we got our best results in the 21st century thanks to OT.

TVE announced yesterday that OT was going to be used as national selection for ESC 2018.
TVE denies today that information and says no decission is taken yet.

I'm hoping RTVE will be inspired by Portugal's win, because this year was dysmal for Spain at Eurovision. Starting with that ridiculous NF and ending with yesterday's 5 points. I really hope Spain's fortunes will turn around.

20th- 2007
21st- 2015
22nd- 2016
23rd- 2011
24th- 2009
25th- 2013
26th- now
Well done TVE
But now that we have all of them, maybe it's time to move forward and start collecting top places, isn't it?
