You can call it Dixie
Confederacy would be an interesting choice if defunct countries were allowed in WV. But its legend is undeniably important to the southern culture, which is just as distinct as it is diverse. Country, traditional black music, strong New Orleans jazz and blues scenes, gospel, and much more, all creating a peculiar mix. I find this region very romantic in its own way, although it is often underappreciated and misunderstood, especially among other Americans.
Speaking of distinctness and variety, that's just what the Dixie entries will aim to be like - coming from many different genres and ethnic backgrounds, but all creating a distinct and recognizable style. I can also say old classics will dominate here, starting from WV 5 with the most renowned southern rock song there is!
