Some wouldn't say there is something like Scandipop, some say there definitely exist unique common features. So let's just say this is a thread for contemporary Nordic POP. Nota bene: Not schlager. There are a number of blogs dedicated to this genre, for example:
The
Swedish Stereo (Swedish blog written in English)
Being Blogged (Swedish blog in Swedish and English) *****
Speedos popblogg (Swedish blogg in Swedish)
Gaffa (Scandinavian music magazine with reviews)
POP.LOVE.DANCE (British blog with much Scandipop)
Alfitude (Alfie's (London) blog with much Scandipop)
Cheiron songwriters forum (Swedish songwriter forum in English)
Popdrömmen (Niklas Torsell blog promotion Universal Music Sweden)
ALL SCANDINAVIAN (run by two Danish journalists, in English, completely ESC clean)
Nordpop | Descubriendo la música nórdica - Spanish site (spells with Danish Ø (Nørdpøp) )
The thread is pretty much intended for discovering new acts, like a mini blog. Feel free to post anything Scandipop!
edit:
Swedish Stereo seem sadly enough inactive since Melodifestivalen final 2013. However, the blogger continues giving Swedish music reflections on twitter as Damian (@Swedish_Damian).
Alfie got separate archives for each Nordic countries - Danish Music, Finnish Music, Icelandic Music, Norwegian Music, Swedish Music.
