*~Happy Sakuralia Day!~*

December 16 is a major holiday in Sakuralia, known as Sakuralia Day. This celebrates the founding of our beautiful nation: on December 16, 2013 the people of Sakuralia and our broadcaster SHK were welcomed into the Nation Song Contest community. Thank you for all the support over the past 6 years, I know there's been a lot of downs than ups but it shows how tenacious Sakuralians are.

On May 5, 2020, we will celebrate our biggest Natia Matsuri to date, in celebration of our 5th anniversary on the main roster

There's been lots of tough times going on in the world, and sometimes we just need an anthem to unite and keep fighting to do more good. Hopefully this entry will do just that

Not the result I was hoping for, but thank you to those who did support this song. It's times like this in the world that we need something to lift us up and remind ourselves that there is good out there.

I hope you will like my next entry

We're trying to find a really good entry for NSC 181, but the next Congratulations is around the corner! I'm going to need a little bit of help as to what song you'd like to see get a second chance at life. I know 8 out of 9 big-time flopped in the semi (except for 175 which was uber-close to qualifying), but I'm putting it to you.

What should Sakuralia send to the next Congrats? Here's a reminder...

171: Duncan Laurence - The Greatest [23rd in semi]
172: John Williams - The Chairman's Waltz [21st in semi]
173: Did not participate [break]
174: Carole & Tuesday ft. Crystal - After the Fire [22nd in semi]
175: Duncan Laurence - Love Don't Hate It [13th in semi]
176: Kate Bush - Cloudbusting [16th in grand final]
177: Voices From Mars - Mother [21st in semi]
178: Halsey - Castle [23rd in semi]
179: Elina - Wild Enough [17th in semi]
180: Wagakki Band - Ignite [16th in semi]

After thinking about it, I've narrowed my choices down to 2 potential entries for Congratulations 18. They are...

1. Kate Bush - Cloudbusting (as it was my only qualifier of the 170s, plus the tie-in to the Handmaid's Tale)
2. Duncan Laurence - Love Don't Hate It (it didn't flop, but it was 4 points away from qualifying)

Poor Elina :(

But out of those two, Duncan deserves another chance.
