Every Russian woman needs to know (Ха, ха)
You're strong enough to bounce against the wall (Эй, эй)
Every Russian woman needs to know (Ха, ха)
You're strong enough to bounce against the wall (Эй, эй)

Every Russian woman needs to know (Ха, ха)
You're strong enough to bounce against the wall (Эй, эй)
Every Russian woman needs to know (Ха, ха)
You're strong enough (Эй, эй)

Да, you're strong enough, you're strong enough
Don't be afraid (Don't be afraid)
Don't be afraid (Don't be afraid)
Don't be afraid (Don't be afraid)
Don't be afraid, don't be afraid

О-о-о

The only thing I'm f***ing, is stupid
What ESC have you been watching? The juries hate on every entry that isn't standardized MF Pop or conventional ballads... ethnic entries are almost always downgraded by them because God forbid ESC has some musical diversity and countries actually send something representing them...
With spectacular technical capabilities (also a big enough wallet), even ethnic and unusual entries can achieve a top 3 placement or even potentially win the jury vote.

:tr: 1997 (even with the televotes excluded)
:al: 2012
:lv: 2015
:ua: 2016
:pt: 2017

There more examples of this. You have right about the juries' leaning towards the most mainstream entries which is because they have a narrow-minded view of what a billboard hit is. Not that the televotes are perfect either, but if the juries consisted of actual music critics, established live artists, and people with no political agendas... Entries like :de: 2018 would never fare that well with the juries like what they almost always do.

I hated this until 1min 40 seconds, then was completely surprised by that beautiful soviet chant ! It's a shame it only happens twice because the rest is irritating noise to me. The song could have been great but the end result seems a little disjointed.

No idea how to rate this yet. Probably :5: or :6:.

Believe me, I can't, just believe me dear Sammy that I don't have a strenght to explain that here ...I will just say/hint to you to search for songwriing teams of this and SM entries..
But in the end I understand it, I'm on ESC forum, I don't compalin, I just don't have a strength to ellaborate..
Ok, I take back what I said. I have to look at this entry much closer as it seems...

Uhm what did I just hear and watch?

I can see it do pretty well in televote though, but the juries will ruin its chances xthink

In the swimming pool, always stayin' cool
After a few listens, i decided that i like this song. Still don't know where to place it in my ranking but i like the fact that's a "4-songs-in-one", makes it unpredictable, surprising, yet it manages to keep attention during 3 minutes. And btw i REALLY dig this gypsy drop.

I do think it will struggle a bit to qualify, it will sound a bit perturbating to casual audiences, plus as this NF has been done in a rush, seems then that this will have a bit less time to prepare... but hey this is Russia, you never know.

Imma putting a :7: for now.

Honestly, Russia clearly has entered the Baila-chicki-chicki-Dustin-the-turkey-stage. we don‘t win anyway so why bother. we give you random crap and still will be in the final.

I wouldn't describe Manizha's entry as that. It just feel like this is a last minute job, throwing different sounds and plastered with a message and then done. I can't even call this a song when everything is so incoherent.

While I applaud her support for the LGBTQ community, but I am not going to support her entry just because of that. The quality of the song should come first.

I have already taken back this comment after the remarks of @Mrm
Classic case of wrong first time impression. Since he quoted it, I didn't delete it though.

Musically, this can't still convince me. But I like the attitude and the lyrics so far.

I forget to add on is that I do agree with you the randomness of the song (just like the randomness of the Russian NF). And this randomness of sounds in the so-called song do not sit well with me.
