Once upon a time I used to know a girl
Ripped jeans, messy hair, shinin' like a pearl
I guess I'm a day sick, I push the night so far away

If you feel what I feel, see what I see
Don't bring yourself down
You are not alone, not alone now

Oh, I lost myself tryna have it all
This world view's in a rush and they say they know it all
Oh, I lost myself tryna have it all
Self love amnesia, don't worry if it got you
'Cause you're not alone, not alone
I try to fight but it's getting strong, getting strong, getting strong
Oh, I lost myself tryna have it all
Self love amnesia, don't worry if it got you
'Cause you're not alone

Giving all they want might make you lose control
Take it, breathe in the words like I should know
People always say, "Be careful what you wishin' for"

If you feel what I feel, see what I see
Don't bring yourself down
You are not alone, not alone now

Oh, I lost myself tryna have it all
This world view's in a rush and they say they know it all
Oh, I lost myself tryna have it all
Self love amnesia, don't worry if it got you
'Cause you're not alone, not alone
I try to fight but it's getting strong, getting strong, getting strong
Oh, I lost myself tryna have it all
Self love amnesia, don't worry if it got you

Self love (self love) is never gone
Self love (self love), put it back on
Oh, self love, self love, you're not alone
Not alone, not alone, self love amnesia

I lost myself tryna have it all
This world view's in a rush and they say they know it all
Oh, I lost myself tryna have it all
Self love amnesia, don't worry if it got you
'Cause you're not alone, not alone
I try to fight but it's getting strong, getting strong, getting strong
Oh, I lost myself tryna have it all
Self love amnesia, don't worry if it got you
'Cause you're not alone

Going from after 2010 it's going to be hard to top Mandinga. xheart

Zaleilah, everyday, everybody 💃

Even with the flop of the semi perfomance it was still an absolute banger.

Romania for sure is one of my favourite countries in eurovision with so many great entries... 2005, 2009 🔥 , 2012, 2014, 2017 and even then some not mentioned here are still very good. 2019 is tarnished somewhat by that NF and what could have been but it was by no means a bad entry.

I admit that I do enjoy 2012, but objectively speaking it's nowhere on the same level of quality as 2020 and 2021.

also 2 most of romania xheat from 2010 to 2019, i just actively dislike 2015 and 2018, and don't care about 2011. the rest? hit after hit. i also loved 2016.

friendly reminder that 2019 was robbed but at least she was riggedly in instead of the overrated trump supporter xheart

A-lister's review:

So we have yet another entry where the poor girl is mumbling something you can barely understand in broken English. The song isn't bad, but it's not good either, it's pretty forgettable to be frank. It is sorta similar in style as last year's entry, but "Alcohol You" was stronger than this one (although I wasn't a big fan of that one either). It's pretty middle of the road but at least partly saved by somewhat contemporary production compared to most Pop tracks in Eurovision. This barely makes my top. 25 however.

THE GOOD:
  • I appreciate the song's minimal production.
  • I also appreciate its message.
THE BAD:
  • It's just not my cup of tea, I'm afraid.
THE VERDICT:

I had to listen to it for a second time in order to get a good grasp of what I wanted to say here. So, I do like the song, and I also like its message. I'll just say that the bigger impact her performance has, the bigger her chances are of being in the Final. 7 points

If someone told me that I would like this song the most when I listened it 1-3 times, I would not believe. I found this song very generic ang uninteresting. Later it grew in me partly because of the lyrics but still it wasn't one of my favourites. Few day ago it hit me. The story and the message told in this song really moved me. I really appretiate songs that promote self-acceptance and mental health written in such a wise way. I find this song very universal. Many people can identify with this lyrics in this world where many people struggle with self-neglect, hating yourself, trying to meet what others think they should be like and more... Some would be surprise how common it is. It reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles and it's never too late to accept ourselves. It can help some people somehow. Now I found melody nice too and Roxen sings very well, enhancing the message and emotions tho I don't know how she sings this song live and it still kind too autotune-like in studio version.
Music video is also great and very masterful. It looks like Roxen is fighting with her demons and finally she won. It fits the lyrics well too.

From :3: or :4: to :10: or :12:. Good luck, Roxen.

Took me only 2 listens to make this my favorite, behind San Marino by a hint. I think the only reason why I absolutely adored this song is that Alcohol was the worst entry from Romania I’ve ever listened to except Romania 2008. It’s boring, slow, and it wasn’t my type. But Amnesia fixed all of those problems. The only problem as good, and it was that it was too repetitive sometimes.

If I could, I would give Roxen a solid :10: points at minimum.

ROXEN - Amnesia - Romania

I like this song, but I feel she tries to be Billie Elish ripoff. This will qualify for sure, but I don't know how it'll do in the final. It will depend on performance ans staging.

8/10
