Results with the OLD voting system (2009-2012)

I thought about calculating it but it's too much work. Maybe we could each take a country or two, do the calculation for it and then put the results together?

This is what I was doing
Step 1: Pick a country
Step 2: Convert the top ten of each jury member into the ESC voting system (12-10-8-7, etc)
Step 3: Add their votes together
Step 4: Convert the top ten from the total into the ESC voting system (12-10-8-7, etc)
Step 5: Convert the televote top ten into the ESC voting system (12-10-8-7, etc)
Step 6: Add points from Step 4 and Step 5
Step 7: Convert top ten from Step 6 into ESC voting system (12-10-8-7, etc)

They did that, I tried the armenian votes.
The result is spot on

In the other thread, someone proposed the voting system to be 25% for juries and 75% for televoters. So I tried to count it in Excel and this is how this year's results would look like using that system (I did that only for the final + I used the jury votes for Albania and San Marino)

Almost no major changes, so it's not a big deal...

Top 5 wouldn't have changed, but Poland and Switzerland would have moved into the top 10

Definitely would prefer 75-25 I think... though poor France would have got nul points!

Why not work the other way around and start with what characteristics a voting system should have, instead of just looking at this year's results and picking whatever country's position you happen to like in whatever system?!
