Okay, I mean why not

WINNERS

1.

"Amar Pelos Dois" (Among the best winners ever imo. I love Sobral's performance. I'm glad it holds the title of winner with the highest amount of points so far.)
2.

"1944" (Super close top 2. Original song, moving performance, Jamala's voice is special. Hell yes!)
3.

"Satellite" (I hated it back in 2010, but now I love it. The song is super catchy and is unlike anything else in the contest. It aged well imo.)
4.

"Rise Like A Phoenix" (Nice James Bond-esque ballad. Great live performance, even though I wasn't particularly rooting for Conchita in 2014.)
5.

"Euphoria" (Amazing vocalist for an okay song. I think the music didn't age well, and remains overrated after all these years. The original version of My Heart Is Refusing Me is >>>)
6.

"Toy" (A winner I've grown accustomed to. It's catchy and better than Fuego imo. That 2019 remix was right up my alley.)
7.

"Only Teardrops" (Random winner. It's okay, nothing special.)
8.

"Running Scared" (Random winner. Asepticised and saccharine.)
9.

"Heroes" (I guess the backdrop must have done the job. Never got the hype.)
10.

"Arcade" (I'm still scratching my head about that one. I have ze-e-e-e-ro in-in-in-in-terest in that effort.)

RUNNER-UPS

1.

"Calm After The Storm" (That is when the Dutch should have won, not this year. I'm not a country music superfan in general, but this entry and performance lit my fire.)
2.

"Hold Me" (Really nice power ballad imo. Could have won tbh. Great staging from the Azeris.)
3.

"Soldi" (Deserved result, wish Mahmood had gone all the way up. Addictive song.)
4.

"Beautiful Mess" (Expensive staging and enticing performance of a somewhat standard song.)
5.

"We Could Be The Same" (Fantastic staging and perfect vocal. The song was solid, definitely deserved that result imo.)
6.

"Fuego" (In-your-face performance elevating a generic pop song, second place was too high imo, but Eleni put on a show, that's for sure.)
7.

"Madness Of Love" (I don't like that kind of crooner jazz songs. Classy and well-performed, but I never liked it personally.)
8.

"A Million Voices" (Big vocal, cliché song. So many other ballads would have deserved to be second instead of that imo.)
9.

"Party For Everybody" (Stroke of genius from Russia, but the song sucks monkey balls to me. Never bought it, even ironically.)
10.

"Sound Of Silence" (Another hyped-up generic ballad. Thank the Lord it didn't win.)

THIRD PLACES

1.

"Nije Ljubav Stvar" (One of the best Serbian entries ever imo. Love it)
2.

"Undo" (Got some chills watching the performance. And my godmother loved it, so I approve.)
3.

"Scream" (A bit too dated and OTT for its own sake, but I can't help loving that throat anthem.)
4.

"Popular" (Crappy lyrics but the pumped-up music and visuals made up for them as far as I'm concerned.)
5.

"Playing With Fire" (Among the best Romanian entries imo. Deserved result!)
6.

"Gravity" (Not the outstanding song some people see in it to me, cute ballad nonetheless.)
7.

"Grande Amore" (One big cliché for foreigners, but the live performance was powerful, so I understand why it appealed so much to people. I moderately like it.)
8.

"Hey Mamma!" (Super fun and elegant performance. The song isn't really my cup of tea, however I admit it deserved all the points it received.)
9.

"You're The Only One" (OTT song and staging, I found that effort really meh actually. I prefer "Scream" by far.)
10.

"Nobody But You" (random jury winner and way too high overall for something so pedestrian and poorly interpreted imo.)

LAST PLACES

1.

"O Jardim" (Overlooked masterpiece. Deserved the top 10 imo.)
2.

"Black Smoke" (I always liked that song, the vocal was good and the staging was pretty nice too. Didn't deserve null points at all imo.)
3.

"Ghost" (Weak and wonky, but still more bearable than the remaining last places to me.)
4.

"Only Love Survives" (cheap pop tune and show. It aged so badly imo.)
5.

"That Sounds Good To Me" (Sounds like crap, but the only reason I put this that high is because I find the melody less annoying compared to other entries.)
6.

"Stay" (so cheap, Sofi Marinova should have qualified instead. Period.)
7.

"In Love For A While" (not my thing at all... and the "nanananana" weren't necessary either.)
8.

"Bigger Than Us" (so bland and x-factor. I couldn't hum it even if my life depended on it. The BBC knows how to find the most nondescript songs every year.)
9.

"Moustache" (I'm still shocked that it scored 2 points. I couldn't be happier with our last place that year.)
10.

"Do It For Your Lover" (TVE trolling Eurovision.)

1. Rise like a phoenix - An outright EPIC winner, pulling off two excellent performances like it's nothing, people who hate this really need to reasses *themselves* .
2. Heroes - Måns is such an overwhelming magnetic force of charisma I'm completely willing to forgive that "Heroes" isn't the best of songs.
3. Euphoria - An everlasting piece of art
4. 1944 - A bone-chilling, ululating dirge that also doubles as A+ attack on Russia's general assholery. SOLD!
5. Arcade - A powerful loss ballad that is ALMOST ruined by bad staging decisions. 'Almost' being the key word here.
6. Satellite - A generic pop song, sold by Lena's dorkish beauty.
7. Only teardrops - Hey look at that, a basic song that actually manages to sell itself as epic xheart

8. Toy - The problem with Ha Ha Jokes such as Toy is that they get stale very quickly, and once they do they get fucking irritating.
9. Amar pelos dois - I could rank this in red because Salvador is the ANTICHRIST, but the song isn't offensive and I still find it perversely amusing Portugal - of all countries - managed to convince Europe a boring bossa nova song was ~THE REALEST THING EVER~ lolol.
10. Running scared - About as flavourful as a wad of chewed gum. One of three winners I dislike (alongside 1973 and 1994)

5. Calm after the storm - An epique performance, but I'm not fully enamoured with the song, I guess.
6. Hold me - A dull ballad glowed up with Azerbaijan's now characteristic overstaging extravaganza xheart

7. Party for everybody - Doesn't set my world on fire anymore, but it's cute and memeable.
8. Sound of silence - I'm almost offended that someone as talented as Dami Im is wasted on a song this pedestrian
9. Beautiful mess - lol same re: Kristian? Sound of Silence and Beautiful mess are the exact same entry, you cannot convince me otherwise!!
10. Madness of love - "ZOMG REAL MUSIC" guys, it's *the most* generic jazz song ever, sung by a troglodyte with an insufferable vocal tone. Easily one of the worst EVER.

1. Gravity - What a delightful fairytale ballad, stellar vocals, GREAT staging, Zlata is one of the funniest humans to ever do Eurovision. One of TWO reasons why 2013 seriously needs more love than it's currently getting. (the other being Lynda Woodruff)
2. Playing with fire - Paula Seling is one of those people who just kicks ass 100% of the time, in any role she's given. Ovi is excellent foil to her greatness.

3. Hey Mamma! - Still cackling at MEME POWER propelling it to a hilarious third place, adding to the hilarity of 2017's top 5 being "Bottom tier ESC countries + Sweden". And also, um, it's fucking excellent in its own right, of course.
4. Grande amore - I'm not onto the whole "I watch Eurovision for the music" conto, so I'm mostly relieved Il Volo lost to Måns and Polina, but that performance has undeniable POWER.
5. Nobody but you - Good song, terrible staging, did way too well in the overall tally. Points docked for sparking Austrian smugness.
6. Popular - Both time and Eric's other melfest entries have numbed me to "Popular" shittiness to the point I'm actually a-okay with it and even like it ironically? But only ironically tho.
7. You are the only one - A decent song brought down by staging that tries WAY. TOO. HARD. jesus christ, this song is GREAT, why not let it sell itself??? FFS.
8. Scream - Same as the above, with the caveat that Scream isn't nearly as good a song as YATOO was.
9. Nije Ljubav Stvar - 2.5 minutes of utter snooze until a decent 30 second climax. The same concept would later be perfected by Oto Nemsadze.
10. Undo - The thing with "Undo" is that it could have been really good but falls short in pretty much every category: Sanna has to be carried HEAVILY by her backings, the song features some really terrible, Dziezma-esque grammar ('undo my sad' remains one of the worst hooks EVER in a eurovision song), in addition to its generic message and uninspired light cage staging. I don't hate it because like Eric, Sanna Nielsen is a hilarious human being whom I can't dislike, but jesus fuck this song is *this* close to Red status for me. One of the MOST overrated of all time.

4. Black Smoke - NF Black Smoke was a funny, quirky exposition of Ann Sophie's dorkish personality feat. an amazing LenaDance. "Not mediocre enough!" Germany must've thought because they trashed all of that beautiful jazz and replaced it with a full minute of Ann Sophass.
5. Ghost - Some people care about Jamie-Lee. I don't.
6. Michael Rice - A three minute penis joke.
7. Do it for your lover - Parts of it are funny, but it's mostly just embarrassing tbh.
8. Stay - Reeks of utter desperation and tryhardiness and the list of entries it robbed in the semi final is longer than the EBU's blacklist.
9. Only love survives - BE LOVE. ONLY LOVE. WE ARE LOVE. We get it!!! SHUT UP!!!! Also this is an edm song, who gave it permission to drag on longer than the average Joksimovic ballad?
10. That sounds good to me - No, it doesn't. Signed, the fucking universe.

Ranking of winners:

1 Only Teardrops - My favourite Eurovision song ever, and everything about it is perfect. Emmelie's voice has a special quality to it, the chorus is extremely catchy, the flute gives it a folk flavour and the drums give it impact. The song also builds throughout, adding counter-melodies and more elements as it progresses. It was also staged to perfection.

2 Arcade - A beautiful and touching song, and Duncan performed it with bags of emotion. The staging suited the song perfectly.

3 Euphoria - A Eurovision game changer and extremely catchy tune.

4 Heroes - A very strong pop number with strong verses and chorus. Performed with skill by Mans.

5 Rise Like A Phoenix - An epic and powerful ballad.

6 Satellite - This one's a grower - it's perhaps a little too quirky for me but that makes it stand out and it's still quite a catchy tune.

7 Running Scared - This is nice, but not a stand out winner. It's a good song, if a little bland.

8 Amar Pelos Dois - I don't get the hype for this one at all. The orchestral arrangement is pleasant, but the vocal melody isn't very interesting and doesn't go anywhere. It's just all rather dull. Nobody was raving about it until Eurovision week and then suddenly it seemed to get a lot of attention... still a mystery to me!

9 Toy - I like aspects of this song but overall I think the chicken noises make it rather annoying.

10 1944 - I don't find this very tuneful or pleasant to listen to.

Yes Emmelie de Forest reached perfection with ''Only teardrops''. I don't think that something as amazing as ''Only teardrops'' can be created again.
