This year seems more fun to predict since it appears that there could be some surprises. Although I'm dreading the fact that my favourites are unlikely to win (That has happened only once back in 2001) here's my prediction:

01. Cyprus (2nd in the public vote and 4th or 5th (possibly even lower) with juries which will probably be enough to squeeze it the win)
02. Hungary (I think will win the public vote and perhaps quite considerably as the song that will get people talking)
03. Lithuania (could have honestly had a shot of winning but the draw just ruined it's chances, and it's public vote will suffer a bit as a result)
04. Italy (jury winner but the public won't be able to connect anywhere near as much)
05. Estonia
06. Moldova
07. Israel (the jury will murder this so hard and coming after Hungary is not what Netta needed for her entry)
08. Sweden
09. Bulgaria (very high with the jury but low public support)
10. Serbia
11. Czechia
12. Ireland (me having to rank this high because it has two men walking across a bridge)
13. Australia (me having to rank this high because it's Australia and juries exist)
14. Ukraine (will mop up some points Russia just lost, but opening the show wasn't the ideal scenario for this entry)

17. France (until the bitter end this one will scream "fan bubble song" to me, and I guess tonight i'll find out whether i'm right or wrong)

19. Spain (RIP my top 10 prediction I made for Spain months ago but I still think jury love is possible despite the death slot)
20. Portugal (Sadly i'm coming to the realization that this will actually struggle but I so hope i'm wrong)

26. UK (what honestly has the power of beating this to last place?)



Such an extremely interesting year to try and predict. It's hard to feel confident about much here at all. I'm pretty certain the public and jury will both have different winners, and there will be a lot of clashes. It could be a case for us where a song that tops neither vote triumphs.

And bless most of us with our Moldova top 10/high predictions Fool us once, shame on you; fool us twice, shame on us.
