I noticed nothing of the sort from Napa, really (I did for :lt: and especially :es:).

The last "Eu nunca vou pertencer àquela cidade" was out of timing/too fast in my stream but it's possible (and likely since I saw no one else talk about it) that my stream was behind and decided to catch up since it was raining in my city at the time.
Yeah, I finally saw the performance. There's some mic feedback here and there but they're not loud or anything. Anyone can easily miss them. Vocally, Guilherme was better here than in the Semi imo. Nothing to worry about I'd say.

So, this Eurovision season was strange for me because I was so sad after the Festival da Canção that I simply didn’t want to follow anything regarding Eurovision. I still kept up with some news and overall opinions on the rehearsals, but I was so disappointed that I thought it would be better for Portugal if we didn't qualify for the finals, just to "teach RTP a lesson." I still liked Napa's song; I’ve always thought it had quality, but in my opinion, there were better options for the contest.

However, after watching the performance in the semi-finals, I’ve changed my mind. Deslocado is too good of a song to not be in the finals. I don’t know where it will end up, but I don’t care. Portugal can be very proud of them. I certainly am.

I still hope RTP makes changes to the Festival da Canção because what happened this year cannot happen again. They are lucky we had a bunch of very good songs that could do well in Eurovision.

I also want to point out that the treatment they received from the "media" (specialized Eurovision bloggers/Youtubers) and from Eurovision itself was appalling. Just because they were/are last in the odds doesn’t mean they have to be shoved into a drawer and forgotten. The blue carpet incident was inexcusable, and I saw some highly-praised Eurovision "experts" completely skip over reviewing Portugal's rehearsals. One of them I really liked, and that left a very sour taste in my mouth. I do want Portugal to get a great final place, just to shut them up (or, in this case, make them talk).

GO NAPA! Portugal is very proud of you!

Congratulations to the boys! They did very well, and Portugal should be proud of them. I do hope we hear from them again!

Now, honestly, I’m a bit sad that we only got 13 points from the public. It was probably my own fault for getting my hopes up after seeing all the posts about the song going viral everywhere. Oh well, 21st place is still a great result for Napa. After all, they exceeded expectations, and that's something to be proud of.

I do wonder if Josh could have made it to the top 10. His song was miles better than Austria's, but the staging might not have been as strong. Henka would likely have been buried by the judges, and Diana might have been left behind in the televote (I mean, look at Switzerland and France).

The results this year were quite odd.

Still hoping for changes in the Festival da Canção.

Congratulations, Napa! It was a solid result! You made us proud and, above all, showed that you have what it takes to build a successful career. In terms of views, it was a tremendous success and one of the biggest surprises of the year. I'm curious to see if they'll win any internal awards (I think they will). Napa also brought some Eurovision fame to younger audiences, which is a positive thing.

It was a tough year for Portuguese fans — things didn’t go well at Festival da Canção, and honestly, Napa came to confirm the great quality we had this year. Perhaps more than 50% of the songs in that final had the potential to reach the ESC final. Josh could have been a huge success (or a major flop), Henka would have done very well with the public vote but struggled with the jury, and Diana and FD, in my view, would have had a middle-of-the-road result — FD stronger with the public, Diana stronger with the jury.

All in all, things turned out well in the end (mainly for RTP...)

I don’t expect major changes for 2026, but at the very least, I hope the jury shows more responsibility and makes a decision truly based on solid criteria.

It will be always an unknown matter, but his participation would create a huge hype around the country, right?
We need a big name with a good and solid song. It is pretty sad to watch them coming to FdC and losing the spot. Even though, most of times was right.
See you next year :)

They beat :sm::is::pl: in the juryvote at least. And probably :hr::az::cy: as well. And maybe :sl:. I think only :be: got more jurypoints from all the nonqualifier.

Bit surprised nothing given by Spain.
Not really, the portuguese and spanish judges rarely give points to one another.

Anyway... Diana Vilarinho just released a video to the song that didn't got a single 12 from the "professional" juries of Festival da Canção:

It has a beautiful melody. I always thought either this or Slovenia would qualify and initially i gave the edge to Portugal, cause they always mange to do it. But at some point i gave it to Slovenia, cause it was in english. Initial reaction is always more right!
