So they didn't even were interview by the host? what the hell?

It really doesn't make any sense. Regardless of odds and everything, shoudn't every delegation be treated equally?

No they had the interview. Just the announcement was skipped.

I just can't see this song getting through, it's just never done anything for me, but I saved my reservations until I saw the rehearsal clips.

It is authentic, I appreciate that, however I didn't connect with the melody. It would stand a chance with the juries but in a televote-only semi....not so sure.

3 points.

That’s not difficult though haha

:hr: :az: and :is: are definitely out in my opinion
If we remove them plus The Netherlands… we might have a shot but I don’t believe in a qualification. Maybe it’s because I’m still gutted that Henka/Diana/Fernando/Josh didn’t make it. The options were endless honestly.

And can someone tell the vocalist not to shout BASEEEEL ?

Thank you.

I am confused.
Like, I feel we have more chances than Croatia, Slovenia, Iceland, San Marino, and Azerbaijan. Of course, that means already a qualification spot. Norway sounds very fragile, too.
However, we are still at the bottom with the odds.

Well, if it's any good, it's becoming less and less difficult to understand or follow the odds. Latvia last year was dead last with 15% of chances to qualify, not only qualified they were also 16th in the finals. I still don't think Portugal should be ruled out. I am just thinking that the public might not care that much about this amazing gem that Deslocado is, because it's too laid back for Eurovision. Let's see how people react tomorrow to Napa and this song, but being last and having only 19% of chances is too low and unrealistic.

It really is. How dafuq Azerbaijan and Iceland have higher chances? Even San Marino... Well, let's see.

I watched the leaked performance and what a nothing burger. Even Moldova and their two cents could pull something more interesting.

Not since 2015 have i been so unmotivated with our entry. At least Conan became a cult classic. This one will forgotten in a minute.

Portugal does not have more chances than either Slovenia and San Marino.
San Marino has Italy voting, Spain who is partial to italian music, Switzerland, Slovenia and Croatia with regions that speak italian, plus the italian diasphora and Sanremo's fans all across europe.
Slovenia meanwhile has a song with an easy to understand message, it is sung in english, it has a charismatic singer and a gimmicky iconic staging, who can get a lot of votes from people that may have had a family members with a terminal disease or just people that will sympathize with him.
What Portugal has? A diaspora in Belgium, Netherlands and maybe Spain? Switzerland has a sizeable portuguese diaspora, but it being the host country it's likely that the portuguese diaspora vote will be diluted.

Yep, I agree unfortunately. Portugal's staging is just nothing this year. To go from the stylish and cool "Grito" last year, to this, is a big downgrade imo.

Portuguese diaspora in Switzerland is bigger than any other country on this semi. Of course, Albania will get the 12 by the hype. And Deslocado has way more internal hype than any other entry from recent years.
It screams 11th or 12th, tho. But well... RTP will not learn nothing from this.

RTP will never learn because:

- They are snobs
- They lack intelligence
- They are more interested in taking friends on a vacation than to treat this competition as… a competition

And absolutely I think since 2015 this is the first time that I am 100% unmotivated to even watch the show.

But anything can happen. With eurovision you’ll never know

You are right, mate.
I am excited to listen their excuses. Especially from Galopim that really thinks this is a great song.
Oh... and the toxic fans will be pissed tonight on their social network profiles.
