You can vote through the eurovision app, unless you already have an account and its linked to Portugal and you think it wont work?
But yeah its pretty easy to buy a sim card. You will just need your id/passport ( they will get it registered under your name ) and they will probably request a local address ( like the hotel/airbnb you will be staying at ). The sim cards are pretty cheap ( 5 euros or something ). I would suggest you visiting an electronic shop for it, so they can immediately put the credit you will need on ( like 20 euros or how much you'd like ).
If you have/make some friends in the city maybe you could ask them to vote from their phone and pay the amount to them in hand ( Cypriots and Greeks are very helpful about these things ), but I think its a great idea to have your own sim card while youre being in there :)
Thank you so much! Let's try! Seems the the televote in Cyprus is pretty low. In the end, NAPA will be owing glasses of wine to me. 😂

I hope that your attempts at cheating fails. The broadcaster should not be rewarded for what hapenned in the nf. Napa should not qualify.
It is not their fault. And between RTP and those ridiculous fans putting spam everywhere about results, I still prefer to help RTP. They will not change a grain of salt if we do not Q

gurl, they got 2nd in the televote and won? Since when is that not fair?
My position isn't about Napa winning being fair or not, it is about the lack of objectivity of the professional judges.
There wasn't a single unbiased 12 and I almost can say the same thing for the 10s that they gave.
It's not Napa's fault
It kinda is, at least Conan Osiris did not asked a single time for the public to vote for him, they in the other hand...
In any case, I repeat, the broadcaster should not be rewarded for what they did, Napa not qualifying is a necessary evil.

Most artists these days will ask people to vote for them, and this has by far been the most successful song in Portugal of the festival de cançao songs this year, so chances are them asking did absolutely nothing to impact the results. Indeed henka asking probably impacted the televote far more.

Yesterday, the whole country had no electricity for 10 hours, and at some point, some of my neighbours were listening to music. Guess what? Deslocado was played more than once. It was adorable to listen to the song in a mix of very popular mainstream music.
It is being played on the big top radios every day, as well.
On the other side, RTP does not give a sh*t about promoting their participation in Eurovision. They are not promoting the song along the diaspora. In a year that we desperately need the votes from Switzerland, Spain, ROW, Netherlands and Belgium and the song is super popular internally, they do not give a damn. Gosh.

RTP hasn't promoted an entry since ever. Every song that got some buzz was organic; they never needed to put a finger on it. That's how RTP likes to "give" life to our representative song. lol

It is ridiculous. And it is not a "budget" problem. They are taking both commentators to Basel this year! So, they agreed to pay more to bring and rent the cabin.

As far as I remmember the only "promotion" they kinda do is invite singer/band to their afternoon show before the rehearsal week starts where they usually do ask the portuguese diaspora seeing the show through RTP International to vote for them. I agree that they should do more, subtitling the videos they post in social media in english would be a start, but the portuguese delegation lacks expertise, manpower and money to do more.
The creation of an videoclip and attenting the pre-parties is the responsability of the competing artist. So I'm guessing that any other kind of promotion is also up to them and/or team.

Sure, but it makes no sense when you have the head of delegation on the front line to succeed the Executive Supervisor. Carla Bugalho has been on the reference group for 7 years already, and seems that she is very well seen inside the group. As a group, RTP is not that poor. They need to step up their game. That story about being a naive and inexperienced team that won ESC is gone.
It is important to emphasize this. They have all the big (and expensive) entertainment formats of the market (Got Talent, The Voice, Taskmaster, Masterchef), they get the broadcast rights for many competitions (world cup, eurocup, etc) and events... We are not talking about an RTSH. They always want to make us believe that, but it is not true.

Iolanda's mother told me last year that she had to pay for a lot of things by herself... They had any kind of luxury there!
Well, the first step would be asking Galopim to stay in Lisbon and Malato would be out. Then, for the first time ever, get the answer for: "Why Fernando Martins and his spouse travel every year to the host city? Do they pay by themselves?" Nobody does this question because they kinda run from the pictures but it would be important to know it.

She sounds really great on this one. I didn't know she can sing so beautifully Oo
To be fair, I think her voice has some reverb in that video, but she does have a great range vocally.
See for example this cover of "The Death of Peace of Mind" by Bad Omens:
