Left home when I was only sweet sixteen
Chasing blind love and a bunch of broken dreams
Don’t know how I thought I’d be a queen
I could do anything
But somehow I end up here I don’t know why
I still believe that

Love is on my side
Love is on my side
Love is on my side
Maybe not tonight

I can feel it when it rains
I can feel it still runnin’ in my veins
Ran so fast I couldn’t even grow
Forgot where I belong
Sold my body on a dirty cold floor
Yet I believe that
I believe that

Love is on my side
Love is on my side
Love is on my side
on my side
Maybe not tonight

Love is…
Love is…
Love is…

Love is on my side
Maybe not tonight

Yeah top 12 sounds good for this song. Qualifying for the final is quite an achievement for Portugal, considering how unfair Europe has been to them in the contest. I'll never forgive what happened in 2012, 2018 and 2019.

From nothing, Black Mamba and their song are trending almost everywhere.
Even the biggest marketing companies are taking advantage of them.
Big names of portuguese music are sharing the song on instagram and asking the people for voting. Artists like Mariza, Carolina Deslandes, Gisela João, Aurea...

The internal hype is taking huge dimensions.
RTP is announcing since today morning that Portugal has a real chance to win.
Our biggest stars (from RTP or not) are promoting the portuguese song with the call numbers for tonight.
It is a risky movement. I do not believe that we even have the chance to reach top 5.

I think that's just stupid. Mamba should be praised for what they're achieving. No one saw it coming. Reaching the finals and maybe getting a top 10-15.

With that approach, RTP is risking a meltdown by raising unfounded expectations.

This seems to be getting a fair amount of hype now. I'm not totally convinced, it was better than I expected and maybe that has influenced other people's reactions. The vocal was definitely better than expected.

That is unbelievable.

i still don't find anything about this very appealing, but almost everybody i've talked to about eurovision since thursday says the portuguese entry is one of their favourites and that the staging is so beautifully done. so yea it might have chances to do very well
(somebody said it has similar vibes as north macedonia in 2019: i didn't get that one either )

To be honest, Portugal qualifying is iteself a triumph given their record outside of Salvador Sobral. I hope expectations aren't raised to the point the result causes disappointment.

From the comments about "possible" portuguese victory, now we have "we will never listen our beautiful language in Eurovision".
Sometimes I miss the times when ESC was only for the fans and few more people.

I think Portugal is a dark horse I stay by my 10 points vote just after my first listen. I believe Portugal will be in top 10 for sure

Surely a song with such a simple chorus is overrated. Top 10 according to the bookmakers? That would be absurd. But I admit the bookies are usually right.
