I don't think the number of the songs are too much, neither that the voting system is complicated. I think it's a good voting system actually, it makes difference between your favorite, your #2 etc. Unlike some other voting systems where your last placer gets 6 points ;)

I also prefer smaller NFs, especially when they are hold on a regular basis. This being said, around five songs is like an acceptable upper limit for me. Having to rank the Top-3 should me more than enough though. Going further always strikes me as a bit pointless.
