26th April, 2019 - the release of the official compilation "including all 42 participating countries" (according to the CD's cover).
Are we going to get a new cover next month? Is MARUV's "Siren Song" still on CD? or did the EBU invite Kazakhstan to compete and bring the number of participants to 18 in the first semi final very last minute?

I doubt it... assuming Ukraine is still out, they had much more time to change the CD this year. Ukraine pulled out a week or two before the HoD meeting, when a bunch of songs were still undecided, so clearly work on the CD couldn't have started at that point (unless they did the album art super-early and forgot to change it or something. Which is possible).

Romania 2016, on the other hand, pulled out officially on April 22 acording to this Wiwibloggs article. So it's very much a different timeframe.

As to how to explain that 42 number, though... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For your information, it's been corrected. The page where you can pre-order the CD on shop.eurovision.tv mentions "41 songs", same number on the picture.
