The seventeenth annual ESC Live Listening for NSCers will take place on Discord on Sunday April 14th at approximately 18 CEST!

What is the annual ESC LL? We listen to all the songs of this year's Eurovision Song Contest, comment and give them marks out of 10. At the end the scores are tallied and we see which song is the most popular within this community. Will it be the eventual winner of the real deal or will it be someone who falls short in the semis? Always exciting!

To join the NSC Discord, click here.

You are free to join after the listening has started. If you can't make it or if you need to leave early, you can still participate by sending me a PM or private Discord message with your votes. You mark all songs with a score between 0 and 10, with one optional decimal allowed. To have your votes included in the final results, you must have sent me your votes for all 37 entries.

Welcome to anyone who's interested! NSCers, ex-NSCers, WLers and randoms alike!

Thanks for hosting as always Joch.
This was my first listen-through of 2020. My overall impression was that there’s a lack of a high quality personal standout, BUT I did enjoy the general favourites this year.

Further down the ranking are lots of quirky and unique entries. The kind you hear and think “this is definitely a Eurovision entry” (and not in that crappy BBC mentality way, I mean positively). Over the years I’ve really coming to appreciate the weird, the trashy, the slutty, all of that so good that it’s so bad that it’s so good stuff.

On the flipside, my least favourites this year were the songs that sounded generic. Sadly those are the ones that usually do well in the end, especially with the jury. But at least I can hopefully imagine Russia, Iceland and Georgia (in my dreams) storming the televotes.

Funny, last year :it: :is: were both my #1 and this year it's :ua: with :lt: in #2. Seems my taste is pretty close to the NSC LL crew

The fourteenth annual ESC Live Listening for NSCers will take place on Discord on Saturday April 24th at approximately 18 CEST!

New for this year, we will try doing this on our brand spankin' new Discord channel! This will be the third chat client ever to host the LL, following MSN and Skype, and hopefully this change will allow for some new faces to join this tradition!

So sorry guys - we can finally go and see my fiancé's mum for the first time in over a year this Saturday as her doctor has given the green light that her immune system is back to full strength, so I won't be able to make it as I doubt we'll be back very early.

Stan :mt: :gr: :rs: and :uk: though xyaay

You can always send your votes to @Fearnavigatr prior to it if you want to. Just write a list with all countries and score them 0-10 with maximum one decimal. ;)
