Skin as rich as the starlit night
Your rhythm is rebellion, your rhythm is rebellion
Deep currents running in the rivers of your eyes
Your rhythm is rebellion, your rhythm is rebellion
They spat on your crown and they poisoned your ground
Your rhythm is rebellion, your rhythm is rebellion
They burned your heroes at the stake
But your voice will echo all their names
This ain't the end no
It's the birth of a new age

Yu no man broko mi
Yu no man broko mi
Yu no man broko, broko mi

Soul blazin' like a hurricane
Your rhythm is rebellion, your rhythm is rebellion
Spirit roaring wild like untamed flames
Your rhythm is rebellion, your rhythm is rebellion
They buried your guts, they imprisoned your thoughts
Your rhythm is rebellion, your rhythm is rebellion
They tried to drain you off your faith
But you are the rage that melts the chains
This ain't the end no
It's the birth of a new age

We are the fruit born in the legacy
Of every forgotten revolutionary
Born in resilience, proud like a lion
We are the birth of a new age

Yu no man broko mi
Yu no man broko mi
Yu no man broko, broko mi
Mi na afu sensi

Tumblr, mostly.
Yeah, it's fairly average. Jeangu is good in it, at least, but this song is rather meh.

All these liars appearing (being paid) to say how much they love it xheart

I don't like the chorus unfortunately.. He'd be better off with a ballad.. damn I was looking forward to having a good hosting entry

Kudos to him for adding some diversity and authenticity, though. It's really touching that he was able to add some part os "his language" (still need to figure out what language it was).

But unfortunately, I think the whole song is not competitive at all...

and oh gosh,.... of course, Wiwibloggs had to be part of it.

Hosting entries tend to be pretty lame, it's like a purpose attempt not to win again.

There have been some decent ones, but it's rare, the last time I REALLY liked a hosting entry was in 2011...

No Instant-Appeal, no Universal-Appeal, no memorable Melody, no powerful Chorus, no explosive Final.

1 Point for Participating.

In the swimming pool, always stayin' cool
Meh.

I loved Grow last year, and this one is rather flat. I love the orchestration, the adding of Sranan language but this chorus is terribly bland. At least he's still an awesome singer and he'll deliver, but it will be hard for Jeangu to get out of the bottom 10. Too bad, he seems like a nice guy.

Disappointed. :4:

I really liked Grow, this however is completely uncompetitive and not wanting to be rude but kinda dislike that surinamise part of the song.. it's kinda cringy..
