As the only debut country in Junior Eurovision 2010, Teleradio Moldova (TRM) have launched their search for songs to compete in their national final for the contest. Interested performers should send a song, backing track, photos, biographies (for each participant and songwriter), photos of themselves (as performers), and a copy of the song’s lyrics in Romanian.

Interestingly, TRM will allow songs to be performed in English or French in addition to Romanian, although if one of these songs was to win a variant in Romanian would be the one sung at Junior Eurovision.

Moldavians (and those with correct citizenship and/or have been living in the country for at least 2 years) must send all their materials to the following address by August 22nd:

Radio House, office 703
Mioritza str 1,
Chisinau

In the week after the submission deadline (August 25 – August 31) a jury will listen to all of the submitted songs, giving a mark out of 10 to each. The top 10-15 songs (depending on the overall quality) will go towards a national final, which will be broadcasted live on Moldova 1 and TRM International between Saturday, 25th September and Saturday, 2nd October 2010.

Re: MOLDOVA 2010 - Moldova -

There is a slight change in the article :$ It's been changed since you posted that, though.

In the week after the submission deadline (August 25 – August 31) a jury will listen to all of the submitted songs, giving a mark out of 10 to each. A live national final with televoting is planned, but depending on the quality of the songs an internal selection by the broadcaster is still possible. If a national final is to go ahead, the top 10-15 songs (again, depending on the overall quality) will go take part in a televised national final, which will be broadcasted live on Moldova 1 and TRM International between Saturday, 25th September and Saturday, 2nd October 2010. The winner would be decided by televoting and jury at a 50/50 split.

Also, full songs in English/French are not allowed, just small insertations of those languages ;)

NF will be aired (prerecorded) on 25th September. All of the songs are on TRM's website and Youtube... song 10 is my favourite :)

The lyrics would need to be slightly adjusted for Eurovision, but oh well :p

This movie was far more entertaining, than this song. The only exciting thing about this song is the title and the clothes.

Is it some rule that I missed that you can sing 1/3 of the song in English or what!? Moldova is after Belgium and Netherlands the thrid country I've heard having loads of english in their songs...

The song is too much 80s for me and since Romania with so many good songs didn't even come top 3 once, then Moldova shouldn't either with not even half good song :(
