Patriks Peterson - Can't Get You Outta My Head 6,5/10
This is actually decent. I fear it's also too forgettable for Eurovision though. Wouldn't have any big impact. Also it sound very much like a Christmas song.
Citi Zeni - Eat Your Salad 6,5/10
Haha I can't help myself, I enjoy this a lot. This is basically what He, She, You & Me could also have been. Nice rythm, best lyrics hahaha. It gets a little repetitive after 2 minutes tough.
Raum - Plans 5,5/10
It's okay, I guess. The melody is a little bit too copy paste tough. Latvian Five Seconds of Summer?
Aminata - I'm Letting You Go 5/10
The song itself doesn't catch me at all, nothing special. It would be a mediocre jury pleaser at best. 5 points just for her voice and because I respect her as an artist.
Beatrise Heislere - On The Way Home 4/10
Very radio-friendly, in a bad way. Doesn't catch me at all.
Inspo - A Happy Place 4/10
On the one side it's a nice song at the beginning, easy to listen but on the other side it also feels too much like an album filler after 1 minute. Minus 2 points for the unexpected, weird rock ending.
Miks Dukurs - First Love 3,5/10
Also a slow piano song needs to go somewhere.... And there is too much chaos between voice and instruments.
Zelma - How 3,5/10
Oh here we go again, another female filler song.
Bermudu Divstūris - Bad 3/10
The sound of the song is quite nice in some parts. The lyrics are indeed very bad tough.
Bujāns - He, She, You & Me 3/10
The first 15 seconds are very promising. They made me thing that this could actually turn out as a fun, guilty pleasure song. But then also very bad, annoying lyrics and weak vocals, bad sound.

A too high pitched voice for my taste, song is too boring. Extra points for Latvian language!
Kāto - Promises 2,5/10
To forgettable, also a filler song. Minus 1 point for "who a who a who are you a you a you".

"Bad" is a lyrical mess but REALLY fun and I love the production value, tbh. I didn´t expect to like this at all but it´s exciting and very memorable. - Sonically, I think that "Eat Your Salad" is the most thrilling and interesting entry - lyrically, it´s entertaining, clever, offensive and indeed, a bit sexist. Honestly, I don´t know how to rank it - the first listening of that song was quite impressive, though.
"Promises"´s verses sound like a leftover of Swift´s "Lover" album and I absolutely adore what Kato was going for. It is playful without sounding cheap or trashy!
Overall, the national final ain´t bad at all but I can´t find anything extra-ordinary in there. Sonically, I think that Kato was the best but I actually don´t mind seeing any of my Top 7 winning - I don´t expect Latvia being part of my Top 10 this year anyway.
Aminata was like the biggest disappointment in this season so far.
